The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. "This is a beautiful location in the hills accessible to Porto. Spacious property. We appreciated the decent-sized pool, the fruit trees and the games room. Communication with the owners was excellent and Miguel was always very helpful. The property is15+ minutes walk to the train station. Bolt taxis are not expensive. So we found this worked well without hiring a car. Lovely holiday."

"The accommodation was in a beautiful tranquil setting. We really felt that we had a relaxing break in Celerico de Basto. Lovely pool and even a little lake to row a boat on much to the delight of the children. The kitchen was a slightly strange set up but we soon got used to cooking on the BBQ . Only down side was the kitchen sink. No hot water and sink was very small in the kitchen area. We had to boil water on hob for washing up. To be honest we got used to it and we managed fine . "We loved the villa the second we drove through the gates. Sebastian was so gracious with trying to communicate with us, hence Google translator helping. The entire compound, the swimming pool, bedrooms were great. We just wished we had more time to spend at the villa to enjoy it more. It's a small neighborhood but places you can walk to for groceries/restaurants. I would highly recommend this villa for your stay. "

"Lovely breathtaking views and nice modern amenities made for a great stay. Responsive and friendly caretaker let us in and replied to questions immediately. Quite secluded and peaceful and about 25 minutes from Regua. Typical country roads to reach it required careful driving. It was a nice base to come home to after a long day of sightseeing, relax and enjoy the evening"
