1) FALSE ADVERTISING: This property DOES NOT have three king suites; it has one king suite and two king bedrooms.
2) LACK OF CLEANLINESS: A thorough cleaning is necessary for the oven, toaster-over, shelving, spaces beneath the kitchen sink and the bathroom sinks, dining room chairs, and kitchen bench-seat cushions. Bath mat in the bathroom shared by the two king bedrooms was moldy. Theater chairs are a mess.
3) COOKWARE UNUSEABLE: Interior coatings of the pots and pans are severely scratched, scraped, and gouged. We purchased cookware to use.
4) OWNER DID NOT PROVIDE OFFERED DISCOUNT: Our initial dates were March 10 to March 13. The owner offered additional days at half price. We added March 9, but received no discount. Owner not respond to our inquiries.
5) OWNER DID NOT PREPARE FOR OUR ARRIVAL: Upon arrival on March 9, FS1 channel was unavailable to us. The owner was unable to rectify until 10 AM on March 10. We missed March 9 games.
6) NO INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED TO USE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
7) BRING YOUR OWN: No hand towels, wash cloths, nor dish towels; only bath towels. No paper-towels nor any additional toilet paper.
8) BE PREPARED FOR CLOSET AND DRAWER CLUTTER
9) OWNER NOT PROACTIVE AND MAINTENANCE INEFFECTIVE: Electrician spent most of March 10 working on (but not fixing) issues we did not report. We purchased a battery-powered light to make a bathroom useable.
10) OWNER NOT RESPONSIVE IN A TIMELY MANNER: Weeks before our arrival we asked for recommendations for places to eat and shop. The owner did not respond.
11) PURSE MISSING: After the electrician departed on March 10, we noticed that a purse was missing; it could have been confused as a tool bag and mistakenly taken by the electrician. We contacted the owner who assured us the electrician was beyond reproach. On Monday, March 14th (24 hours after we left Manasquan), the owner contacted us by text message to inform us the purse was found inside the property. The only plausible explanation is that the electrician placed the purse in the house after we left on Sunday, March 13th.
12) BOTTOMLINE: The location of the property is great and the property could be amazing if the owner was more engaged and put forth more effort. We will not return.
