A QUICK WALK FROM CANYON LODGE! LOCATED @ MAMMOTH WEST

This unit offers the ultimate in Mountain Comfort. Perfect for families or groups of friends, this unit is central to all the action winter or summer. Walk to the slopes or the Village Gondola or just relax with views of the Sierras. Situated in the trees next to the Canyon Lodge parking lot, Mammoth West is one of the most convenient locations in town.

The unit has an open floor plan that lets in lots of light. Stocked with all the amenities you could ever need, this is the perfect home base for all your adventures.

There is a fully equipped kitchen, oversized balcony with beautiful Forest and Mountain Views, large dining room table, 3 TVs, ROKU/Netflix/Amazon Prime/Pandora/DVD, stereo system with iphone hookup, wireless internet, and a beautiful river rock hearth with wood stove (firewood provided). This two level condo sleeps 8 comfortably with 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 twins, and 4 bunks. There are 3 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer located in the unit. The built in humidifier on the forced air unit keeps the inside comfortable and warm when the air outside is cold and dry.

The condo complex features one of the largest and best Jacuzzis in Mammoth, providing the ideal place to relax after a full day of activities. There is also a pool, Red wood sauna, and male/female restrooms/showers.

For other nearby après ski and fine dining, the Austria Hof Restaurant & Bar is located next door to our Complex. At the end of your ski day, just ski to the base of Chair 7 at the Austria Hof Restaurant parking lot and you'll be just steps from our condo complex. Also, we have owner's Ski lockers at Canyon Lodge that can be provided for upon request.

Our unit has two parking passes for the parking area in front of the unit or just below the unit along Canyon Blvd. next to the Canyon Lodge Parking lot. Loading/Unloading/Pick Up/Drop off is permitted directly in front of the unit.

Amazing location and plenty of space!
Our group absolutely loved this spot! I think the pictures don’t even properly capture how spacious and comfortable it is. The jacuzzi and sauna are also very large to accommodate a large group and being able to walk right to canyon lodge just couldn’t have been more convenient. We hope to stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great place and great location. A few expected amenties were missing, which could have made it even better (e.g. hair dryers in all baths; sponge for cleaning in kitchen; plastic wrap, foil). Great having access to lockers at Canyon Lodge.

The proximity to Canyon Lodge and value of this home were unbeatable. Beds were comfy, house was warm and comfortable, and the rec room/spa was great to take advantage of. Great for our two families that came. Definitely would love to stay here again.

Great, Spacious Condo near Canyon Lodge
Our group very much enjoyed John's condo near Canyon Lodge. We have rented many in the area and also have friends who own a unit nearby and also were in town so we could easily visit one another - this unit was one of our favorites. It was nice having so many bedrooms, the beds were comfortable and the locations of the bathrooms were convenient. Having so many wall hooks was appreciated by all, as was the ski locker, close trash drop off, and the overall comfort of the unit. The owners clearly are thoughtful and know how to make renters comfortable. We would stay here again.

Incredibly well equipped and spacious cabin super close to Canyon Lodge. The ski lockers at the lodge were such a huge + as well to not have to carry gear back and forth. The owner was great and let us check in early!

Skiers Paradise
This is one of those places where photos did not do it justice. The place was immaculate...they had games, they had Roku, they had fully stocked kitchen, they had firewood, they had ski lockers, they had HOOKS galore around the entire house to hang your ski gear...the best part it was a short walk to Canyon Lodge where you had two lockers reserved for you to store your skis/snowboards etc. We had an amazing time! If I had to gripe about anything...is that i wished they had 3 parking spaces instead of 2.

Perfect home base for a family ski getaway!
This is an awesome place to stay and ski! The house is cozy and stocked with everything you need. Easy to access the unit and walk to canyon lodge without having to worry about driving and parking. So nice to get two parking passes in the complex and access to two ski lockers in canyon lodge. Lots of beds and a great set up in the main living area, even a game table! John was really nice to work with. Our teenage boys loved going to the common area hot tub at night. The unit itself is compact so best to all be one family or close friends, but has everything you need! Owners make the check out really simple too which is a big plus when you're trying to get on the road home.

Coziest Lodge and Just Steps Away from the Chairlift
I did not realize how close this property was to the chairlifts until I woke up in the morning and saw the glorious view! You can see the lifts from the balcony. We had arrived at night so that was such a nice surprise. The interior of the condo feels like it's a true cabin. There was plenty of space, board games galore, and plenty of beds. The heater works especially well so it was always warm and cozy. The best part was the access to the chairlifts. The condo borders on the parking area for Canyon Lodge so you just walk 5 minutes and you can hit the slopes without any hassle. Just make sure you have all of your gear rented beforehand. I have my own gear and an Ikon Pass so it was perfect. However, some people from my group had to go down to the Village Lodge to rent gear. We will be returning!

Thank goodness I brought sheets to cover furniture or we wouldn’t of been comfortable. One chair is really bad (filthy sticky) had to keep screwing knob back on bathroom shower every time we used it. No screens on windows or sliding door so we couldn’t enjoy the cool weather or air out the place. One window looks like it has a screen that is completely torn which is dangerous if you have a small child because the window opens on the ground and it’s on the second level. Just not worth what we paid. $$$ they did accommodate one of our needs but still dissatisfied

Comfortable, Clean, Condo with a Cabin Feel and View Above the Trees
Pros: The location of this condo worked well for us. It was close enough to the village to be convenient yet far enough to enjoy the quiet. With three bedrooms, three baths and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds there was plenty of room for our party of six adults. The great room included the kitchen, dining room, living room and game area. All of this under an open beam ceiling so we never felt closed in. Also, he entire south wall was glass allowing us to enjoy a view of the tree tops. We arrived for our summer vacation and had no trouble getting the keys and the parking was directly in front of the condo. The condo was clean and the bathrooms came with shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The natural wood paneling and accents gave the condo a cabin feel. The caretaker was prompt to collect trash daily and when we had a problem with the condo door lock, he worked with the owner quickly to resolve the problem. The kitchen was well stocked with table and flatware, appliances, microwave, electric oven and stove all in working order. Cons: 1.) Front Entry: Be careful! The second step down to the front deck is very loose and needs to be secured or replaced. 2.) Ceiling fan: needs a good cleaning and could not be used. 3.) Kitchen: The non-stick cookware was badly scared and warped with handles barely holding together. (Skillets and saucepans needed to be replaced). Also, the kitchen faucet was barely working and needed repair of replacement. 3.) Towels: There was not a full set of towels for each person in our party. This was a surprise for us and we had to share washcloths and hand towels. Thankfully there was a washer and dryer in the condo which we used daily. Had we known about this we could have brought our own. 4.) Beds: This one was on me. I overestimated my ability to downsize from a king at home to a queen on vacation and consequently spent several nights sleeping on the sofa. So in a perfect uetting, a king bed would have been nice but I realize this is a personal preference. Conclusion: I would rent this again without hesitation if there was a king bed in one of the bedrooms but short of that, I will look for another option next time. If that is not a problem for you I would recommend renting this condo. Good luck.
