Secluded Oasis-ish
This property is great to getaway from everything and enjoy some peace in nature. The only things keeping it from being an actual oasis are the lack of a comfortable king size bed in the master (the queen bed/mattress is not comfortable at all), the rest of the main floor furniture has seen better days, and the lack of furniture in places you expect it (no coffee table or table lamp in living room next to the chairs, no bedside table on the right side of the master bed, no chair or additional future for luggage/clothes in the master). There is no toilet in the master, just a jacuzzi tub (not really that useful without a sink and toilet). There is a hot tub on the deck but it is older and has seen better days. Same for the foosball table. The pictures in the profile are obviously from many years ago as the cabin has not been updated and appears to be “maintained” at status quo without any significant investment in repairs. Also there is mold growing on the second floor hallway’s wood ceiling that will need to be remediated or could cause significant health issues if left untreated. However, the water pressure and hot water were a saving grace and much appreciated. As was the disc golf course on property, which we enjoyed (and cursed) immensely! The property owner Frank was super nice and willing to answer any questions we had. It was about 45 minutes to Mammoth Came State Park due to the ferry being closed which is becoming a common occurrence so expect the long drive.

Private Large Cabin
Cabin was very clean and with ammenities as stated - It is truly located in a very private wooded area. Lots of areas in the house for our family of 6 to socialize together or to spread out for private time. The Host was very helpful and responsive to a couple of needs. We enjoyed the hot tub and wrap around balcony ! --- and would have enjoyed them even more if the outdoor temperature was a little cooler during our stay. A/C seemed to work well in the 90+ heat to keep the entire place cool enough for our needs. We did bring frisbees and played several holes of "frisbee" golf - which was fun. A propane gas grill vs the charcoal grill provided would have been an improvement - but it did give us a chance to grill the old fashioned way for a change of pace (charcoal/lighter fluid is bring your own). We would highly recommend the Blue Hollar Cafe just down the road - great food - very resonable price - we ate two meals there because we liked it so much the first night. We would stay here again if in the area!

Comfy Cabin
We wanted a comfy place to stay while we visited the longest cave, Mammoth Cave. This cabin was a perfect place to chill for this busy family. If youre looking for outdoor adventures and doing “camping things” without camping, this cabin is perfect.

Secluded Kentucky House
We had a wonderful time at this rural home. Though we were first taken back by the appearance of the house, as oppossed to the pictures on VRBO. The house is much older than pictures show; bushes in front of house are very tall, hiding some of house. The host was super friendly and helpful. The 18 hole disc golf course on the property was a definite plus for our teenage boys! Lovely place to stay.

Spacious, clean, and close to everything we wanted to see. Frank knows the area well and helped us get to everything we wanted to see and do. We enjoyed the hot tub, disc golf (even as beginners), and s'mores over the fire. Thanks for a great stay.

Great family cabin!
My family of 4 stayed here for spring break and really enjoyed the cabin & hot tub! It's nice, clean and spacious. The frisbee golf course on the property was a bonus too! It's a 30 minute drive to most places but the cabin is well equipped with full fridge, oven, microwave, toaster oven & Charcoal grill to serve up nice meals.

Relaxing getaway
My family of four loved that we were in the woods surrounded by a disc golf course. We enjoyed the beautiful views, the hot tub, and having multiple floors when we wanted some alone time to relax. The kids had a blast in the downstairs. The cabin was clean, the kitchen well stocked and Frank was helpful and informative at check in. We knew it was going to be a drive to go anywhere, but the atmosphere was worth it to us! We enjoyed the fall scenic drives to Mammoth Cave and our other destinations.

Isolated Comfort
The cabin is perfect if you like your own space, in nature, and away from the touristy stuff. It is a bit of a drive to get to the caves (45 minutes) and the options for restaurants are very minimal. We did discover a great place with a good menu - Buoy at the Lodge, located at the boat ramp for Nolin Lake. The cabin has been a rental for years, so typical wear and tear is evident. Owner, Frank, graciously checked us in and went over the hot tub at the cabin after we missed the smaller font pointing to check-in. My daughter wants to go back already to play more fusball and soak in the hot tub. My son loved the Roku TV as we left his device at home to attempt to have time to reconnect without devices. The bed my husband and I used was comfortable. Should our schedules permit us to come back, I'll definitely plan/prepare food options better. We greatly appreciated the cabins' comfort and available spaces to come together as well as just rest.

Wish it was longer!!
We loved staying at this quiet, clean, relaxing cabin! Our 3 kids stayed downstairs and it was a great space for them. We loved our bedroom upstairs with a jacuzzi tub. We used the Green River ferry to get to the Mammoth Cave tour. We loved the hiking near the cabin at Nolin Lakes Park. The cabin was a great space for our family of 5 who loves quiet, natural places.

Very remote with lots of space
If you are looking to ‘get away’ this is the place for you. This is exactly what we were after. Very remote and close to mammoth cave. The green river ferry was as exciting as it was convenient. Our trip was cut short due to severe weather; the cabin lost power and so did thousands of other people and Mammoth Cave closed. The owner was helpful but not much could be done.

Perfect location next to mammoth cave!
My wife and I wanted a weekend away to break up our winter and this was perfect for us! It was pretty far away from any city and even most small towns, which is exactly what we wanted. We're also big into sight-seeing in national parks and mammoth cave was next on our list. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, in fact it was partially stocked with spices, and even coffee and coffee filters(it should be noted the coffee maker is a kuerig, so bring your K-cups), however these may have been left behind by others that have stayed. The hot tub was wonderful and a must for after some of the hiking we did inside of the park! This is probably about as close to the park as you can stay without actually renting lodging through mammoth cave visitor center. Frank was friendly and informative about the area when we arrived and met with him. Thank you very much for the amazing stay and helping us mark off another notch on our national parks list!

The scenery is breathtaking! We would DEFINITELY stay again, but it's worth calling out a few details. Very rural area w nothing close for stores/restaurants, but still TOTALLY worth it! The cabin is not in perfect shape (but definitely not in bad shape!). It lacked nightstands & a dishwasher, but we slept comfortably & you just couldn't beat the treetop views!

Didn't want to leave!
My husband and I enjoyed a 3-day relaxed vacation together here. We didn't do much in town because we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of real life. But the property is just off of Mammoth Cave National Park. We took a walk through the woods adjacent to the cabin and enjoyed the hot tub. I had mimosas on the front porch swing in the mornings and wine in the evening. We also had a local massage therapist come to the cabin to give us both a massage. We did so on one of the nice outdoor porches. It is quiet and peaceful here. There is also frisbee golf on the property. The cabin itself is extremely clean. Some of the furnishings/decor could be updated but it had everything that is needed for a perfect stay in nature. Cable service and Wi-Fi was easily accessible and without interruption on the property. You can hear the birds chirping and watch butterflies play on a burning bush just off of the front porch. Frank was very easy to work with and his little diner just up the street serves good food and ice cream. They also make handmade milkshakes. If you are looking to get away from society but be within a short drives distance to stores and restaurants, this is the place to be. We definitely will be back.
