We had an amazing time at this VRBO. It is just a few minutes from the highway but also feels so far away and secluded. The property is enormous and extremely well maintained. The alpaca are just a few steps from the front door and our kids, 3 and 1, loved saying hello to them each morning. Rich, the owner, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome the entire stay. Each morning there was a charged golf cart ready for us to use to zip around the property and down by the pond. The pool is huge and Rich and his daughter would clean and skim each night. The house was perfect, tons of rooms and bathrooms which would be perfect for large groups but also felt comfortable with our small group. We will absolutely be staying at this property again, there wasn’t a single complaint from our party and wouldn’t change a thing.
We had an amazing wedding weekend thanks in no small part to our stay at Charlestown Springs Farm. Rich is an accommodating and very responsive host. When we first inquired about the property, he offered to give us a tour since we live locally. The house is dripping with charm and the surrounding landscape is picturesque.
It was the perfect place to host our out of town friends and family during our weekend of celebration. We spent a lot of time outside on the beautiful grounds, but also enjoyed the several large indoor gathering spaces. The kitchen fridge is pretty big, there are multiple mini fridges, a large freezer, laundry, large closets, really everything a large group could need for a few days or extended stay.
The house is interesting, comfortable and cozy, and feels luxurious at the same time. Charlestown Springs Farm outdid our expectations at every turn. Everyone had a great time and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the weekend with loved ones. Thank you so much Rich!
Richard and all of his family and staff helped coordinate things for months to allow my husband and I to have the best wedding! We had family and friends stay at the house with us and Richard allowed us to visit the property a few times before our stay to walk the property and allow our tent rental property to find the best spot for our tent. The grounds are well kept, the alpacas really are friendly, and the house was big enough to accommodate our needs. I would definitely recommend and come back to stay here many times over!
We had an amazing time celebrating the wedding of our son in Malvern. We needed a place for the entire family to gather this is the perfect location. We arrived Thursday night and stayed till Monday. This is a multigenerational trip and we filled the house.. On the first night, our son hosted game night for the bachelor party in the huge sunroom with the bar overlooking the beautiful pond. There was plenty of room for 10 guys to play poker and other board games. This would be a beautiful spot in the winter because there’s a huge fireplace It has a ton of plants and gives you a feeling of being outdoors. The next day, we hosted a rehearsal dinner on the back patio for over 70 people. We set up tables and used Malvern rentals. Beware if you use Malvern that they were not very helpful in getting the table set up. Luckily, I had a lot of young people around to help do this for me Richard his dad and helper at the farm or all there on hand to assist with making the back patio ready. Be aware there is also a back up plan for rain in a barn. I didn’t get to see that particular barn, but apparently it can also host small gatherings . The next day we had all the groomsmen come over to get ready for the wedding and take pictures with the photographer. The landscape provided many places to take wedding photos.,Don’t hesitate to book this property
Without question the Alpaca Farm was the perfect choice for our family vacation.
We were looking for a venue to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with close family members. The Alpaca Farm has all the amenities you want in a resort without the crowds. Large gathering rooms, 7 sizable and well -appointed bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and a dining room accommodating our entire group made our stay comfortable. The best room of the house is the atrium. With its high ceiling, many windows, bar and lots of seating it was ideal for the group to gather, celebrate and take photos.
Our clan included family members ages 3 to 73.
Everyone would cite the over-sized pool as their favorite outdoor feature. Many many hours were spent cooling off and playing games in the water—fabulous! We also had a wonderful time playing pickleball on the tennis court and creating our own Amazing Race competition utilizing so much of the many acres of the property as well as the large fully stocked pond.
Rich, the owner of the Alpaca Farm, was very responsive to my many questions both before we rented and during our stay. He is very hands-on with the care and maintenance of the farm and clearly loves this beautiful piece of the Chester County countryside. We would definitely rent from him again!
We can't forget the alpacas. They're gentle, quiet and friendly. The kids knew all their names and stopped to visit them every day. They were the icing on the cake of a lovely wonderful vacation.
