"Friendly welcome and very comfortable room. The swimming pool is beautiful. Excellent breakfast. The kitchen area for guests is well-equipped and very useful. The local area is varied and interesting - off the beaten tourist track, but a must for wine-lovers. Good markets in local towns and villages, and Roman remains to explore. My second stay at Vieux Platanes, and I am sure to return."

"Sleeping in a castle is an experience in itself. But then there was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners who were at ease in their role as hosts and made the experience most memorable. Described as kitchenette - shared fridge and microwave and communal cups with another room, this was situated in the vestibule outside the 2 rooms. No sink/cleaning/prep area. 2 sunloungers situated on the outside stairs up to the rooms. Room tiny, barely able to move round the table and bed. Good sized bathroom.
