"Well placed in the Thamel area of Kathmandu to walk to most of the major tourist sites. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent free buffet breakfast. Free storage for your suitcases when you head off trekking. Lovely garden oasis with waterfall that has a full restaurant and bar. What's not to like? Stayed here on three separate occasions during my 3 weeks in Nepal. Highly recommended."

"I had a very good stay at Baber Mahal Vilas. The hotel is safe and is centrally located in Kathmandu. The staff are very kind and helpful. The facility has very good restaurants. Getting around is straightforward and taxis are relatively cheap. I expect I will stay there again when I plan to visit Kathmandu in the spring of 2025. "

You might find a room for a bit cheaper but will there be hot water, working AC, eorking remote control, elevator, in-room fridge, free water, good breakfast, etc? You get that and more at Jay Suites."
