"Overall, I'd say the stay was fine. I had gone for 3 nights with my wife and 3y old. Property is gorgeous and they offer lots of activities to keep you engaged (albeit quite expensive). All the activities we undertook were great. Friendly staff, decent emphasis on safety, etc. Scuba diving with their instructor, Sam was especially good if you're a beginner. The spa is very good. The food was pretty average. Everything we ordered was usually a disappointment. Not at all 5* quality. Meal service was also typically very slow. Cocktails and drinks were average at best. The room itself was fine for the most part. Direct access to the beach and generously sized. Bathrooms were okay. The worst part was dealing with the cashier Sathish. On the final night when I went to clear the bill for activities (nearly 1500 usd) he kept making a hue and cry about a few bills/notes of 25 dollars saying these were old or worn out. This was right before our anniversary dinner. The guys attitude and reluctance to give in was a severe mood dampener. I let them know while checking out the next day too (politely) but Sathish had bloodshot red eyes and couldn't really care less about he he had made a guest feel. The TAJ told me they'd be sending a feedback form but after I narrated my disappointment on check out, I think they chose not to send it :) Overall, for the money, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find something better. We just took this because of the Taj brand. Likely wouldn't go back."

"The Baros Hotel was one of the best resort experiences we have ever had! The island itself is beautiful and the resort blends in nicely with the environment. The staff were excellent and even helped us with staying on the island until our 1:45 AM flight. The food was excellent, especially the French cuisine at The Lighthouse. We will definitely come again. Shout out to our fantastic butler, Rau. She made everything she did seem effortless. "

"The staff are amazing. They were very accommodating without us having to ask they gave us a late checkout. They also did a happy honeymoon setup for us free of charge as well as a happy birthday setup a few days later without me asking which was a lovely gesture."

"We really loved the small and intimate feel of the resort. The staff really went out of their way to create a great experience for all the guests. One of the highlights of this location is their home reef just steps from the beach. They will give you snorkel equipment and if the weather had been nicer when we stayed (during August Monsoon), I could have spent the whole day out there. We did bite the bullet and go out snorkeling when the weather showed no signs of letting up and still saw a lot of sea life, including both a white tip and black tip reef shark. The rooms were very nice and the all-inclusive package was probably one of the best I have seen. We didn't part-take in the alcohol in the room, but it along with the snacks were very well stocked. We booked the jacuzzi room, which could have been a really nice, but the water to fill the jacuzzi was coming out brown. Likely due to rust of the pipes. A sign or something stating what it was might have helped us look past that. Their main restaurant was very nice and had a good selection of foods for our taste. The bar was also wonderful and exceptional service. This is not a couples-only resort and it did appear we were out numbered by families. We have our own children (who stayed with grandma) so this didn't bother us at all, but something to note. We were most impressed with their teams attention and efforts to make our trip fantastic from the moment we landed to the moment they brought us back to the airport."
