"Crete is gorgeous! We did so much exploring, we didn’t spend as much time at the apartment as we thought we would. The space is small, but clean and well furnished. The private pool and surrounding views are absolutely phenomenal. I would only take off one star off due to the heat. The owner (who is lovely) has a small indoor A/C unit set it that did help, but we were there in August and it just could not keep up. We would return despite this, but in a cooler month. "

"My fiancé and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! The view was beautiful and the pool was so refreshing and relaxing. It was within walking distance of the main shopping area and we never had trouble finding parking within 150m of the entrance. Our host was exceptional and mapped out multiple places and restaurants she suggested we visit. We would love to come back and stay again!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at this great location! Our host met us and was phenomenal and shared helpful informations and reviewed all the best location highlights in the area. The apartment was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The beach was a 3 min walk from the door of the apt. Swam everyday - so therapeutic ! City centre a 5-6 min walk with many wonderful restaurants. Supermarket very close by as well. "

The Management Company looked after a couple of issues which arose, including loss of hot water, very quickly. Makry Gialos is a fantastic and authentic resort, away from the tourist hot spots.
