"Liked: - New, modern luxury suite with kitchen and pots/pans/utensils etc. - Weel kept grounds, beautiful pools and places to eat nearby. - Walk to beach Few issues: - Recent flooding and mud slides (end of Jan) caused road closures around the resort. Single construction entry at the rear of the property was the only entrance and it was not clearly marked. I had an awful time finding the entrance at night, driving a rental car in an unfamiliar area and resort desk did not pick up the phone when I called."

"This is an outstanding resort. I was upgraded to a suite which was fantastic. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a great wrap around balcony with seating and great views of the ocean. Any resort like this is not going to be inexpensive so as long as you know that going in, you will not be disappointed. The amenities are excellent and easily accessible. The grounds have been set up so that you can get to the pool, the beach, the restaurants with ease. The adult only pool is a great option and a nice mellow and quiet space if you want to be away from families and their energy. The staff was exceptional in every venue from check-in to check-out. They were able to accomodate and help with requests. This was my first trip to Hawaii and I am full convert and plan to be back. My thanks to the folks at the Fairmont for such a great stay. Mahalo."

"The pics of the beach were very misleading. There are rocks and bay sludge but not a bad view. The best bea h nearby is only 7 minutes by the airport. Staff were amazing!"

"Front staff was excellent. Easy check in/out. Staff kept us updated on road closures to the hotel and gave us excellent directions to the hotel. I was a little nervous about staying at the hotel due to the resent storms knowing they were close to the damage but rooms were fantastic and staff was wonderful. We will be back! "

"50 yards to the sand. Friendly staff. Free parking. Room was small but it was clean and updated. Continental breakfast. Little market right next door. Had a small fridge and microwave. 👍"
