"This is a very special place to stay - the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is not just a croissant with some jam, it is absolutely delicious and creative, lovely cheeses, tomato salads, beetroot with herbs, local meats and wonderful breads. "The door didn't close without us slamming it, some staff were very friendly but others were quite rude and didn't tell us when the breakfast buffet moved next door until we came downstairs and reception was locked so we knocked until someone answered. The area around the hotel is lovely but the hotel itself isn't the best. It's old, with black mold in the shower railing, orange soap scum staining the curtain and poor ventilation, even worse AC. Says the soap etc is included but provided only one...

"This is a great small hotel. Staff are friendly and clear about current regulations. The room we had was small but clean and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also clean. We like to have the windows open and this was possible although there was some noise from traffic. The pool looked very inviting although we didn’t stay long enough to use. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open for evening meals when we were there but the menu looked good. "

"Outside is a takeaway with motorbike deliveries, no wall paper on the walls in the hallways (we were told it was being decorated), no real door to the toilet/shower. Didn’t realise it was 2-star but it was clean and functional, host was pleasant. Lack of aircon plus the outside noise meant we simply didn’t sleep (it was August) so without aircon was always going to be a challenge. "
