3 night stay at Maidstone Family Homes - Fernhill.
Stayed at Maidstone Family Homes - Fernhill for 3 nights with my family (comprising 2 adults & 3 children in total). The front door key was placed by the owner in a secure code-operated keybox by the front door. However, on arrival at the property we were unable to work the keybox. The owner stays nearby and kindly assisted us in retrieving the key. Overall the property was good, although a few minor issues within. Whoever laid the carpet did a poor job as we kept catching our feet on sharp staples within the carpeting around the house. Broken toilet seat in the toilet downstairs. The kitchen could have been cleaner (especially the counter, handles etc). The owner was apologetic, and offered to come over to clean the kitchen but we had already done so. The beds were not the most comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and equipped with a microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, pots & pans, utensils, crockery & cutlery etc. There's a toilet in the utility room downstairs, along with a washing machine (no dryer). One bathroom (bath with a shower) & 3 bedrooms upstairs. There was a wardrobe in one of the rooms. Good central heating. Bed linen & towels were provided, as were shower gel, shampoo & hair conditioner. Wifi & Netflix provided. The local neighbourhood really did leave much to be desired. The only saving grace in terms of the local area - there's a Sainsbury's Local and an excellent Indian restaurant (Taj Barming) within walking distance from the property.
