"From the very beginning of reserving this property the owner was in great communication. Throughout the stay, and after our stay the excellent communication continued. The property itself felt like a post card of tropical paradise. The secluded location was a great "get away" from the tourist heavy coastal towns of the Yucatan. The snorkeling and kayaks available were all in great shape. I highly recommend going out with them! The star gazing roof was amazing. I live in a major US city, and to see this many stars was almost disorienting! The comfortable chairs on the roof made it hard to peel yourself away form the sea of stars! The kitchen is somewhat primitive, but has all the basic needs to make good meals. There is a fridge, 2 burner stove, sink, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and plenty of counter space. The beach on their property is in great shape! The caregiver keeps it clean and inviting. There is plenty of lounging areas all along the beach on the property. The caretaker Oscar, and his wife, were super nice, helpful, and made us feel like friends! They were also intuitive to know how much attention/privacy we wanted. The home owner is lucky to have them! The ONLY complaint is also one of the things that makes it great. The beach road to get there is in rough shape (partly due to excessive rain during the dry season). This is good because you don't many other tourists coming to the area. If you want a remote beach paradise, this is it!"

"Lovely stay! Only challenge was that they listed several pasta options on their dinner as gluten free but when ordered they didn’t have any so that really limited the dinner options. Just be aware if you are celiac. "

"Paradise and peace. We loved it at Margarita del Sol. Although, the drive from the town to the hotel, not the hotel’s fault, was really rough. Please remember to purchase food before you get there as you won’t want to leave to traverse the road back into town. Lulu is lovely and extremely kind and helpful. "

" Luna de Plata is the last hotel on the Malecon (the walkway by the sea in Mahuhalal), and. that is what makes it special. It is the last stronghold on the Maya Coast to withstand tourist invasion. II is low-key as if sucmbing to the sea breezes and the quiet. Both the hotel and the area feel like the world of yesterday. Low-key, personal, and not slick. You can walk to the town's center to enjoy the various restaurants, but you always retreat to this peaceful oasis, leaving the cruise ships that frequent the town in the distance. Dario, the Italian-born owner, and his staff are very sweet , dedicated individuals who are attentive and available but not sleek and overbearing as in most of the resort hotels. Do not miss the bar and restaurant of the neighboring Luna Beach Club only few steps away where you can nurse a margarita or mojito at sunset on the beach, all the way to moonrise, taking in the peacefulness of this part of Mahahuhal. But hurry up before the Cruise ships wil devour this last piece of havean"

"This is paradise!! I have traveled quite a bit.. this is o e of my favorite places!! The staff were so nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. The place we stayed was wonderful. Very very clean. Ver comfortable. So much privacy and tranquility. If you are looking for a place for peace and finding yourself and or romance this is it! The beach was outstanding. The town was amazing. Delicious food and unique handmade items. We got to see a tribal dance that was out of this world. Will definitely go back. You will not find something more perfect!!! "
