** The safety of our guests is very important to us. We are using medical grade disinfectants and tools to thoroughly clean the cabin between each and every guest. Our hot tub water is professionally dumped and refilled with balanced chlorine levels before arrival.

This luxury home is surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains. Beartime Cabin is a large 3 bedroom - 4 1/2 bath home with over 3,000 sqft. for your family and friends you to enjoy. This cabin provides a pool table, foosball, game table with chess/checkers/cards, sit down video game, corn hole, dart board (must provide your own darts), books, a few puzzles, and board games.

There is plenty of room for a restful night sleep, a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the upstairs bedroom and 2 queen beds in the downstairs bedroom. There is also a futon in the downstairs sitting room that turns into a full bed to provide an additional space for children to sleep.

A fully stocked kitchen provides a coffee maker, a stovetop percolator, tea kettle, crock pot, waffle maker, microwave, dishwasher, blender, Keurig, hand mixer and all other basic kitchen supplies.

Beartime offers such a peaceful outdoor experience with seasonal creeks and waterfalls around the home. Rocking chairs, charcoal BBQ grill with smoker and a 4 person Hot-tub make the outdoor space perfect for relaxing. Spend the end the day making smores at the firepit under the North Carolina stars.

There are 2 driveways. Plenty of space to park trucks/trailers on lower driveway which is flat

Property is 6.6 miles from Cataloochee Ski Area or about 15 minutes.

You do not need a 4 wheel drive to access this property.

Another great stay!
This is our third year staying at this property. This house has everything we need and is close to various attractions and the casino. Clean upon arrival, well stocked kitchen and sized rooms comfortably fit the six of us. Will definitely be back!

This house is exactly like the pictures! It had everything! We had a blast with the pool table and hot tub. It was located near everything we wanted to do. Will stay here again.

Excellent Property
This was our second trip to this property and once again enjoyed our stay. The house is close to many restaurants and attractions…tube world, Waynesville, and the Cherokee Casino. The kitchen is well-stocked, the games/pool table are nice added touch, the property is beautiful. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Fantastic Family Vacation
This cabin was perfect for our family!! It was very spacious, allowing us to not feel like we were right on top of each other. There are plenty of activities to do without ever leaving the cabin. The property manager was so kind and quickly answered any questions we had. 10/10 recommend this cabin!!

Junior Olympics
We had sometime to spend in Asheville area before going to Greensboro for the Junior Olympics. This was very nice place with just about anything you needed for a family from 9 to 75 year olds. Really enjoyed the pool table and foosball table. Location was easy to access. The host was very gracious to allow us to check out a little later. Also was willing to extend our stay but couldn’t get out of our hotel reservations. Looking forward to planning a trip back in the fall with family again to the bear house!! Definitely recommend this place and price was very reasonable compared to other places in Maggie Valley.

Great week in Maggie Valley
We spent long days riding motorcycles around the area and enjoying great food. This house was perfect for us and was in a quiet location. We spent a week here, with two other couples and really enjoyed relaxing at days end. All of us commented frequently about how nice the place was. We were all very pleased with the rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living space. This was a very nice and spacious place and we would certainly like to use this location for future visits.

Amazing cabin
Words do not describe how amazing this cabin is attention to detail in every room, location, cleanliness decor. Everything was literally the best.. There’s a set of steps that go down to the lower level. We were nervous because my friend brought her three year-old for one day, but they even thought about putting baby gates in the cabinets in the kitchen, which literally was amazing.!! We also cook family dinner one night and the kitchen was STOCKED with everything we needed it was literally like we were home♥️

Great location
Property has pretty much everything needed for a vacation. Games galore for the grandchildren, lots of space outside to run. Hot tub was a big hit along with corn hole. Minor plumbing and air conditioning problems but they were quickly handled by owner. It was our second time there and hope to go again.

Great Family Home with TONS to do
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was perfect for our family of five. Everyone had plenty of space. Our favorite part was all of the activities at the home to keep us busy. My daughter ended up getting sick and even though we could go do anything for a day and half we had plenty of things at the house to keep us busy - pool, foosball, games, puzzles, arcade, corn hole, hot tub, etc. We all even learned how to play chess!

Mountain Getaway
House is located in beautiful Maggie Valley far enough away to feel isolated but close enough to be able to grab dinner and groceries in town. We enjoyed the amenities of the house and have room to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of towels available. Everything was well labeled and easy to understand instructions provided. We enjoyed a day in Asheville and spent some time in Waynesville which were a easy drive from the house. Maggie Valley feels like a step back in time in the best way and you don’t have to deal with all the traffic of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Really enjoyed our visit and hope to come back soon.

Mountain Cabin
The cabin had everything needed for a fantastic time. There was plenty of space to park the 3 motorcycles, trailers and trucks. We enjoyed the pool table, and fire pit. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked. We had a problem with the ice maker not working. The hot tub wasn’t cleaned properly. It smelled too!

Family Spring Break
We had a great time with all the amenities this home provided. Lots of space so the family was not crowded over a week vacation. Downside was that the tub is listed as a jetted tub which we looked forward to and upon arrival we found out it does not work and owner was already aware of this. I also give 3 stars for cleanliness as there was hair in the freezer, the floors had some debris on them, and leaves were piled up around hot tub. The small waterfall on the property was very relaxing to listen to while sitting on the large deck.

Smokey Mountain Motorcycle Tour
Perfect location for a centralized home base to ride the Smokey Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala, the Dragon & more! 4 couples stayed here for 3 nights, we found the home the perfect size for us to spread out yet be together when we chose. Very spacious rooms, plenty of bathroom space. It rained all 3 days so we cut our rides a bit short, the large laundry room was great to throw our wet clothes in the dryer. And this home provided so many games and activities! Loved the Ms. PAC-MAN, the pool table, Large dining room table, not only to all 8 of us to have meals together but play cards, and the hot tub was a perfect way to end the nights. Recommend this home to other riders or any family gatherings! Oh and there was plenty of room to park 2 Trucks and Trailers and 4 Motorcycles.

So much FUN at BearTime!
Beautiful spacious home with so much activities to keep you entertained. You can also find a comfy spot in and around the house for some self quiet time when needed. Loved the fire pit and hot tub was great! (Only tip: cleaners not to fill up hot tub. When too full it overflows when going in and out of tub which makes for a tedious clean up after each use. Maybe more kitchen towels as well. ) Other than that the house was awesome!!!! Thank you!!!!

A Nice Getaway
The home was clean and had what appeared to be all new furnishings including comfortable beds. A very unique style home mixing Victorian and country/rustic decor. Ample space to hang out both inside and out. Private backyard, small creek and pond, rocks to climb, hot tub and a fire ring made for an enjoyable outdoors experience for all ages. A lot of fun with the pool table, foosball table and mini arcade game. All in all, great experience and the rental agent was responsive when contacted with questions. Two suggestions/recommendations for the owners: 1. Provide a garden hose for guests wishing to be safe when using the outdoor fire ring. 2 Provide ample toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags for your guests...they don't cost that much. Stating that those items are your guest's responsibility per the rental agreement is sure to leave a negative impression.

Thanksgiving 2023
Had a wonderful time! House was exactly as shown in pictures. A few little glitches but easily solved. Connie was quick to get back to me when I messaged her! My only real issue was the downstairs smelled a little musty. I washed all my clothes before we left and I had to wash them again when I got home because of the musty smell. I understand basements are just damp! I could see there had been minor water damage downstairs in the past. The upstairs was perfect! Very big living area, dining area (sat 10 at the table for thanksgiving dinner) and the kids loved the game room. We did have to rewash a lot of the silverware when we got there as I’m sure the last renters emptied the dishwasher but didn’t check before they put stuff away. We left a note for the cleaning crew to maybe check that in the future. Other than that and the basement everything was wonderful!

We really enjoyed this cabin it’s absolutely amazing! The only problem we had was the grass around back next to the fire pit was not cut and my grandchildren could not play in the grass area! But overall I give this cabin 5 stars!!
