"perfectly clean and modern, if rather clinical Excellent reception lady even bbc news on large new wall hanging tv Powerful shower But the room could have been a little larger to access the very comfortable single beds lacking a restaurant, but a burger joint 200 metres away was passable, just"

"If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "

"Very nice place right next to the water. My room had a balcony with a lovely view of the boats coming and going. Excellent breakfast buffet. Nice bar area with seating inside and out. Very friendly desk staff. My only negative comment would be that the bathroom was a bit ancient, but it was clean."

"Hotel Splendid is an excellent hotel in an excellent Dax location. Many restaurants and shops within 2-5 minute walk, the hotel was classic art deco design. Very comfortable, modern bathroom, nice towels. Will return"
