This property has changed hands and some of the reviews do not reflect the current situation.
The reception staff did not speak English.
Parking is off site in an open public area.
The walk to reception is OK in the dry season, the same walk with luggage in the rainy season would be a shocker.
Breakfast offerings were all COLD and consisted of fried rice, fried chicken, pork sausages and bread for toast.
There is no Japanese restaurant.
The bed was very good and the room was nice and clean, local TV only and there is a gym.
The staff tried to be helpful within the limitations of language.

Breakfast was cold and having no choice. Fried rice and fried egg were cooked quite along time before being served. No vegetable, nor fruit. Staff were helpful to a certain extent. More can be done such as being clear with information about facilities (taxi, bus, post office, laundry facilities) around the hotel.
For the price, this hotel delivers. The room was spotlessly clean, though the polished concrete floors could stand to have more towels or padding outside the bathroom. One can easily slip with feet feet after a shower. I did. The service is limited--usually one person on duty at a time (plus maid), but they are generally welcoming and friendly. The location is neither great nor bad. Makro is a short walk away, as is the Tesco Lotus and the bus station, but it's still a few kms from town. I might look to be closer into town next time, but if I don't, I would stay here again. Also, great wifi.
This is a newer and very spacious hotel. For Mae Sai, you can't really do any better. It is about 2 clicks from the border which might be a challenge but if you got wheels stay here.
Excellent room Big room clean and good price city area

V-PARK HOTEL, MAE SAI, NORTH THAILAND
The hotel is quite new, so most of the facilities are in good condition. The room is clean and sizable. There is an LED TV., FRIDGE, SLIPPERS...HOWEVER, there is no coffee maker. The air-conditioner is good. The bathroom is clean. BUT the hot water supple is eratic, it comes with boiling hot water and then suddenly turns to COLD WATER. THE FLOW OF WATER IS ALSO VERY LITTLE !!! The front desk speaks little English. The location is good, as it is near the Provincial bus station and main road, so can easily travel to the town centre. There are two big SUPERMARKETS NEAR THE HOTEL, so buying daily items is no problem. Good value for the hotel stay !
SPARTAN IT IS BUT -------- GOOD BED, QUIET, GOOD INTERNET, HOT WATER ,
GOOD STAFF (hounds me to clean) --- PRICE IS GREAT! TOOK ME A FEW STAYS TO APPRECIATE ALL WHAT IT IS AND NOT FOCUS ON THINGS UNIMPORTANT.

Perhaps one of the best rooms you can find in Mae Sai. Clean, spacious and modern. Excellent value.

New Hotel opposite Bus station
Large rooms with 2 single beds, no double bed available. The beds are very small.
Our room on the first floor was very dark with no furniture, everything is made of cement even the beds, you feel like you are in a jail. Ask to get a room on the second floor which looks brighter but could not get it although the hotel was not full. A used towel was still in the bathroom and the drainage in the shower was blocked.
Simple breakfast with 2 eggs fried in old oil.
Received 1 welcome coffee coupon for 2 persons!
Friendly staff.
Will definitely not staying there again.
The Hotel sign was easily visible from the highway. I never would have found the hotel if not for the large sign.
The hotel is all new, modern, very clean. I did not actually stay at the hotel because my friend in Mae Sai insisted I stay with him in his house. I booked the room for two days. I was a day late arriving, When I arrived I was not sure I would be able to find my friend so I purchased another day stay for a total of three days.
Later, the day I arrived, I found my friend so I canceled my hotel stay and was given my 500 Bhat deposit back. I paid for three days stay, 'was in the room for 15 minutes, and discovered the money I paid was not refundable. This was not a problem since the room only cost $20 per night.
