The property was close to center of City with a underground station nearby, too floor, good views accross City, facilities all good, powerful shower ,hot water, furniture basic bit shabby but ok, comfortable beds clean linen and olent spare towels, overall a very enjoyable stay.

We loved staying here since it gave us more freedom than a hotel and we were able to wash and cook a little. The only issue was heating that wouldnt turn off but we were able to remedy this

Very clean. Small apartment. The building is above the metro so it’s possible to count trains while waiting for sleep. La Latina is not the best neighborhood but it is the same distance to Embajadores which is nicer and very close to the Rastro marketplace. Many places to eat at and couple of night clubs to fill the gaps between trains until the early hours. All in all good value but a little noisy.

Pleased, but be aware...
We enjoyed our stay at Smartr Madrid La Latina. Clean. Practical. Pleasant area. Close to metro, but we walked to the Prado, the Plaza Mayor, and so forth. We also walked with our luggage from Atocha, so the location was great. We loved having our own kitchen so we could make our own food some meals. The only (unpleasant) surprise was that there was no front desk. Entrance was through a code texted to us. Perhaps I missed that detail in the hotels.com description. So be sure you have a phone number to which that code can be sent. Checkin was paperless, which was tricky and took time before the trip. And you have to pay ahead of time. So those details should be taken into account.

Had received an e-mail from the property saying I needed to pay a deposit before they would give me the day-of-arrival entry code to the building with 2 Spanish phone numbers to call- both of which rarely answered. When we did connect, it was a slow process on phone data to follow the link sent to pay the deposit to get the code. We were grateful it wasn't raining, as we would have been standing in the rain for a half hour trying to get it all completed. Once in, the property was fine.

Mi worst ever checkin experience.
Mi worst ever checkin experience. at the check in moment they contact us on whatsapp and requested our credit card info in a suspicious and insecure link . It felt as scammers , they requested all our passport ID again in top of the security numbers of the Credit Card. This was not preview explained in hotels.com at the moment we booked. Also the description say that was an office at the location but the offices was a 15 USD taxi far from the apartment. We could not understand how hotels.com is renting Apartments! This is not correct or at least should be very clear at the moment you book. Now we will have to cancel our credit card as this company got all our info typed and we are very worried. In top of this the location was scary at night. Not recommended at all!

Il posto ha una buona posizione, ma l'appartamento che ci hanno dato è troppo piccolo per 4 persone, dopo aver aperto il divano letto era impossibile muoversi per la stanza e non c'era posto dove appoggiare valigie o le proprie cose, uguale nel bagno. Anche la camera da letto era troppo piccola dato che il letto ricopre l'intera stanza. Nell'appartamento c'era una perenne puzza di chiuso e umido e anche dopo aver aperto le finestre (che davano su una sorta di minuscolo cortile interno dal quale non si vedeva neanche il cielo) non andava via. L'appartamento si trovava al piano -1 ed è posizionato sopra la linea della metro, che passa ogni 5 minuti dalle 6 alle 2 e fa tremare ogni cosa. In generale l'appartamento era pulito ma vecchio, molte cose erano rovinate e il divano macchiato.

El aire acondicionado no enfriaba. No estaba bien equipada, el cuchillo de la cocina inservible, no tenía secador de platos, ni mantel o individuales. La cafetera no es buena. Cuando llegamos no había wi-fi ni agua caliente.

Una triste y horrible experiencia
Siempre viajamos y nos basamos en las referencias que se publican aqui, sin embargo este lugar no es en lo mas mínimo igual a lo que publican, te Venden un piso con muy buenas xaracteristicas, sin embargo, cuando llegas, el lugar es definitivamente una pena. No solo es sucio, sino que incluso encontramos bichos en el sofa cama, el piso totalmente rayado, un espejo totalmente clisado y con un poco de cinta como gran solucion, lo que impedia que incluso se habran las puertas. El metro have que todo el edificio tiemble cada 3 minutos, lo que impide que se pueda descansar, pesimamente insonorizado, se escucha las intimidades de los vecinos, el lugar se cae de la humedad concentrada mezclada con olor de cigarrillo, los muebles sucios y algunos hasta quemados con cigarrillos. Fue una de las peores experiencias de mi familia y lo peor es que dejan de atender a las 9 de la noche, así que si llegas después de esa hora ya nadie te puede ayudar con tu problema. Después de quejarme incluso con hotels.com lo único que pudieron hacer cambiarme a otro departamento, donde inclusive encontramos eses en la taza del baño! Y claro por política del servicio no te reembolsan tu dinero y claro a medianoche, es imposible conseguir otro lugar donde hospedarte moviendo a la familia. Es por.mucho el lugar mas descuidado y sucio que conocí y eso es mucho decir ya que me hospede en lugares rústicos incluso en el altiplano, pero por mucho mas limpios y cuidados que este lugar que no debería engañar descar

Una gran decepción
Lo mejor: la ubicación, la amabilidad del personal de recepción, la posibilidad de dejar la maleta antes y después del alojamiento en plena Gran Vía. Lo peor: todo lo demás. Adjuntamos algunas fotos, pero adicionalmente, comentar que las fotos NO se correspondían para nada al alojamiento, que tanto nuestros hijos como yo tuvimos picores terribles en las piernas que se nos fueron al regresar a casa, el olor asqueroso, solo es posible dormir de 1:30 a 6 puesto que pasa el metro por adentro del piso, prácticamente. Una gran decepción, fuimos 4 noches con ganas de pasarlo muy bien y fue una gran decepción. La única "solución" que daban era pagar más por un alojamiento superior... El caso es que las fotos NO son de donde estuvimos, y en ningún lado admitimos alojarnos en las condiciones que ofrecieron, independientemente del precio. Pagamos lo que pedían. Y no recibimos lo esperado. Una pena porque la ubicación está muy bien y las fotos nos habían predispuesto a una gran estancia.
