4/10 Poor

Disliked: Cleanliness
Great Location: Great Disappointment
Clean safe building. Two blocks from the Prado, one block from Retiro Park. Wonderful restaurants within blocks. Small stores with basics around the corner (despite what the person who greeted us told us, sending us at least a half mile in search of a store for water/snacks/etc) The apartment is small, but nice and as pictured BUT the management responded poorly to some serious problems, especially things that didn't work or were broken. Examples: 1) Despite having been empty for several days before we arrived, they knew there was a problem with the security screen on one of our two windows. It was stuck 2/3 down ... and despite our permission to send in repairman, it was not fixed during our 12 day stay, so the apartment lost half the available light and air flow. 2) A/C worked - sort of. Repair effort made little difference. Fortunately there was a space fan I could put near the window to keep it cool at night. 3) Coffee maker broken. Took two days to replace, but they did replace it. 4) Kitchen gorgeous, but absolutely useless because there were no basics, something I've had in every other apartment we've rented. (No salt, pepper, oil, anything. And one roll of toilet paper for a 12 day stay! 5) The shower curtains in the fabulous bathroom were FILTHY on the inside! DISGUSTING! I tried not to touch them. I left a note 3-4 days into our stay and nothing was done. 6) 'Bedroom' should be taken loosely. There is an alcove with a VERY comfortable bed, but the doors that would make it into a 'room' were sliding wooden doors that barely could close bowing out at the foot of the bed. No room to move. Not a problem for two people at all. I'd think twice before two couples would stay there.
