THE APARTMENT

Charming Retiro is a large two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms in the center of Madrid.

This beautiful apartment is located on the fourth floor of a building with elevator located very close to the Retiro Park and the Atocha train station.

This apartment has two bedrooms, 2 fully equipped bathrooms, large living room and large kitchen.

The distribution of the bedrooms is as follows:

- Bedroom 1: Double bed, en suite bathroom, flat screen tv and large closets.

- Bedroom 2: Double bed, flat screen tv and large closets.

The kitchen is very large and is fully equipped with: Ceramic hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, toaster, Nespresso capsule coffee machine, kettle

The dining room has 2 sofas perfect for resting after a hard day of work or sightseeing around the city, you will have a flat screen TV with Apple TV and access to Netflix. You will also find a large dining table.

Among the amenities of the apartment we also find: Air conditioning and heating, free Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels, free toiletries, iron and ironing board.



AREA

The apartment is located in a quiet area full of local shops and very well connected. The Retiro Park is just 8 minutes walking from the apartment and Atocha Renfe train station is only 13 minutes away.

If you want to walk around the area you will find the Royal Tapestry Factory 5 minutes away, we recommend you do not miss visiting it.

Reina Sofia museum is only 15 minutes walking from the apartment.



HOW TO MOVE

The nearest metro stations (both 3 minutes from the apartment) are Menéndez Pelayo (line 1) and Pacífico (line y and line 10).

There are also numerous bus lines that you can take at the stops that are located next to the apartment.

I would easily give the apartment a top rating because it is really very nice.
I stayed in the apartment for 9 days. It had a good location in a non touristy area; close to transport (metro, bus and train). It was very clean, quiet and well equipped (including juicer and toaster), however some aspects could be improved. The apartment was rather sparse on the basics: one tablet for the dishwasher was provided and there were no coffee capsules (although the capsules were shown in photos of the apartment description shown as “Food and Drink”). I feel that this is false advertising. There was no sugar, salt, pepper, paper towels and only 2 placemats and one very small dish towel. There was no description of the operation of the appliances or AC/heating. There was a rather cumbersome electronic main door entrance procedure via a smart phone since no keys are provided. If these small but inconvenient aspects could be improved, I would easily give the apartment a top rating because it is really very nice.

El piso es tal cual se ve en las fotos, amplio, cómodo, limpio y muy bien equipado. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Nuestra estancia ha sido en verano y el aire acondicionado ha funcionado perfectamente (para mi no era algo negociable en esta época). Esta situado en una zona muy bien comunicada, con líneas principales de autobuses y metro (1 y 6) muy cerca y enlazando zonas principales de Madrid. Ya en el barrio, hay mercado, tiendas varias, bares y en la cercana Av del Mediterraneo hay terrazas. El Retiro esta a 10’ a pie. Si se presentara nuevamente la oportunidad, creo que repetiría. Lo recomiendo!

We really enjoyed staying at the Charming Retiro. It is a lovely apartment, well situated in the proximity of two Metro station and within walking distance of the Retiro. The apartment is very spacious, well maintained and extremely pleasant to live in. We stayed for two weeks and it felt like staying at home: very comfortable, quiet and "charming".

Charmantes Appartement Nähe Retiro Park
Das Appartement liegt südlich des Retiro in einer ruhigen Anliegerstraße. Das Gebäude verfügt über einen Lift (max. 4 Personen) mit dem man auch einen Kinderwagen in die 4. Etage bekommt. Das Appartement selbst ist hell und freundlich. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über zwei bequeme Sofa und einen großen Esstisch, an dem bis zu 8 Personen Platz finden. Die Küche verfügt über Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, Kapsel(Kaffemaschine), Toaster, Backofen, Herd und Mikrowelle sowie Geschirr für 4-6 Personen. Die Schlafzimmer befinden sich in typischer und ruhiger Lage zum Hinterhof. Einschränkend ist zu erwähnen, dass aufgrund der landestypischen Bauweise die Nachbarschaft gelegentlich zu hören ist, was jedoch nicht störend ist. Das Appartement verfügt über zwei kleine Bäder mit jeweils Toilette, Waschtisch und Dusche, wovon ein Bad direkt über das Hauptschlafzimmer zu erreichen ist. Es gibt ausreichend Stauraum in Schränken und Kommoden, so dass man eigene Kleidung etc. sehr gut unterbringen kann und nicht "auch dem Koffer leben" muss. Metro, Bus, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die gesamte Vertragsabwicklung, Übergabe der Wohnung nebst Erläuterung war vorbildlich, verbindlich und von uns als sehr angenehm und freundlich empfunden. Auch war ein "Late-Checkout" möglich. Insgesamt ein hervorragendes Appartement für Familien oder auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt.
