Wonderful stay ! The staff gave me a warm welcome and procured an early check-in ( very appreciated after an over night flight) . The breakfast is very good and very good service. Special mention to Cecilia at the front desk for her help.

Nice hotel. Good A/C. Something not easy to find in spain. Recommend the breakfast very good. Not cheap not expensive. Good location close to subway station which its great bybthe way.

great hotel! It’s in the outsides of the city but it’s right next to El Carmen metro station and it’ll take 5-6 stops to get to the center (20 min max). It’s super clean and modern; I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel 1881 Madrid offers a convenient location with a metro station right next to the hotel, making city exploration easy. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, are friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel boasts modern interior design and high-quality finishes. However, the complimentary bottled water is limited to a welcome drink, and the air conditioning is fixed at 21 degrees Celsius, which can make the rooms uncomfortably warm during hot summer days. Additionally, street noise can be an issue, depending on the traffic and pedestrian activity outside.

Bravo Rafaelhoteles Ventas!!
The staff at reception were very welcoming, friendly, helpful, patient, efficient, professional and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean and had a lot of space. The facilities in the bathroom were excellent. The breakfast was extremely good and the staff at breakfast very professional, helpful and efficient. The hotel was in an excellent location with great transport links.

Like in most hotels in Madrid some recepcionists know what client service is and some don't. I imagine the ones that don´t are very unhappy with their job and have no other alternative. In this hotel were half happy and half unhappy. At the end you don't want that. They should learn from Thai or mexican hotel staff.

The good and the not so good!
I will try to give a review of what was good and what was not good. On the good side - The location was good, not too far from the central part of the city and the tourist attractions - The rooms were ok in size, a bit on the smaller side but we didnt spend much time in the rooms so not a big deal, and the bathroom was big. -Things were well taken care of and not much wear and tear around the room -the rooms and sheets were clean -the breakfast was reasonable for a 4 star hotel and the breakfast restaurant was large and spacious -the customer facing staff were very friendly and spoke good english, which is not the norm in madrid as we discovered on the not so good side - If you are a light sleeper then you will have an issue, the hotel is on a busy road, cars and buses are constantly driving by and the windows are not suitable for such a location, i asked for a different room further down the side ally, yet the noise was still too loud - The cleaning lady was cleaning the rooms while having a full on cold/flu, literally wiping surfaces and coughing on them at the same time. Its simple basic hygiene really. - There is a cooler in the rooms, not really a fridge, fyi

El personal del hotel fue muy atento, agradezco a Luis quien fue el que nos recibió, que nos hizo el favor de resguardar nuestro equipaje para irnos a pasear en lo que nos daban la habitación. Me encantó que a una cuadra esté el metro, lo cual hace que te puedas mover sin problema por la ciudad. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño :)

La propiedad me pareció estar en el lugar perfecto, no muy lejos del aeropuerto ni lejos de los lugares turísticos. A una cuadra del hotel hay una estación de metro, la cual te permite moverte por toda la ciudad.

Todo genial, el metro está cerca Lo único fue que al llegar al check in tomo media hora de más pero muy amables todos Algo más fue que tenías que tener cuidado en la regadera de que no se saliera el agua de la ducha. En general, todo genial. Graciassss ! :)
