"We booked this hotel as it was close to the port for our cruise. While the bed was really comfortable and the room overall great, my score goes down a bit as it was really hot inside and the AC wasn’t working that well."

"Close to beach. No grocery stores close by for quick snacks or food. Limited dining. Had to use e-bikes and scooters to get any amenities or restaurants. No hair blowers in room, nobody made the beds just took out your garbage. Outside is run down. Good about giving help in English. Safe property. "

"Great hotel in a fantastic location . Beach out front and a hundred bars and restaurants one block behind. Very safe easy walking city. Staff was really great . Always helpful. Hotel is super clean . Pool are is a little small . Not a fan of the McDonald’s out front . "

"We had an amazing view of the port from our room. It was a decent walk to the dining and shopping area. Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. Only one little complaint was the water during our shower was a bit inconsistent-extremely hot back to normal. Overall ,we had a great stay. "

"Comfortable rooms with access to the great hotel restaurant at all hours. Best meal we had in Marseille was a dinner at the hotel. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Fun and vibrant decor. Short walk to Old Port and most of Marseille. Staff very friendly and able to help us in English. We highly recommend Mama Shelter!"

"Room was very clean and had almost everything I needed, no fridge in the rooms or any kitchen facilities, but there’s a nice room downstairs with free coffee. Would certainly stay here again for a few nights, good location and very walkable."

"The hotel was in an amazing location .. the person at the reception who spoke English was very helpful. The person who only spoke French was very unhelpful - and a bit rude too. The reception area reeked of cigarettes. Other than this excellent hotel."
