Wheel chair accessible. Perfect for a multi generation Families to make unforgettable memories. Ideal for corporate team building! Unique 1880s log home tucked inside a two-story colonial home with old Vermont character and charm. Surrounded with native plants, trees and three small bridges over little ponds and creeks. With over 583 lineal feet of Lakeshore, 405 lineal feet of small creek and 1100 acres of Madison Lake (deepest hole at 60 feet with lots of walleye structure). Every family member can find their own special niche with three docks. You can bring your own water craft or rent locally whatever is your preference. Or just enjoy fishing from the shore!! Lots of off the street parking for all your water toys!

We just completed our two fish cleaning sheds one for Log Inn and the other for Artists & Anglers (VRBO #9264248 two parcels over -sleeps ten- has bridges to walk to each house and shares two docks- owner lives between houses, Great for all those extra family members and friends that want to join you! ) Both have running water and electricity for charging equipment (bring your own chargers), also a table for cleaning your "big" catch! In addition each unit has drying racks for life jackets, area for tackle boxes and small motors. Just bring your own padlock for security if you like.

No need to worry about firewood as we will have available near your fire pit under the tarp. We have corn hole, horseshoes, bocce, volleyball, lawn darts, ladder toss for outdoor games.

Our Kitchen is well supplied: We have service for 40! Dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, coffee mugs, and for the young at heart - plastic cups, bowls, trays etc! Utensils, steak knives, Cuisinart Advantage 12 piece knife set. BBQ utensils, numerous cooking and serving utensils, wine & can opener, blender, hand mixer and much more!

Waffle iron, griddle, air fryer, two large crockpots, one small crockpot, pizza pans and cookie sheets! Keurig k cup with 12 cup combined coffee maker, two 4 slice toasters!

Glass and plastic flat serving trays, Plenty of Wine and Champagne glasses,

Numerous size glass serving bowls, with and without covers , A very large selection of corning-ware (from small to extra large capacity) to choose from. A complete set of commercial grade pots/pans. Call Dorothy before you pack your items as we may have it at the house!

What a wonderful weekend!

Wonderful stay

Best stay ever!
Log Inn was such a great place to stay. We stayed here for our wedding and the place was very welcoming, clean, cute, everything you need to have a gathering. The garage was a fantastic addition, the host was super accommodating, flexible, and great communication. 10/10!

Wonderful place to gather with friends and family
Log Inn had plenty of gathering places and activities for our group of old friends to tether, cook food, play games and reminisce about old times. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious!

A great place for a large multigenerational family reunion
We enjoyed our stay here. We ranged in age from 85 to 2 months and there were things for all ages. The game room was used extensively and all the sitting areas and bedrooms were perfect for our large family.

We enjoyed our stay. Manager was very friendly. A very fun place to stay. Three families 72-3 yrs old. Ice fishing was very good. So many rooms and bathrooms made for good sleeping and privacy. We enjoyed looking at the art work and details about the log cabin, which is part of the house. Great place for families. Thank you

Great for large groups
The home and property are ideal for large group. There are gathering places for the group and plenty of space to spread out for games, quiet time, indoor activities, and lake fun. The host was welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed having several kayaks and boats on property so everyone had options.

Property was roomy & clean & well laid out for our group - beds were comfortable. Our host was attentive and welcoming - the lack of snow in December put a damper on our outdoor plans, but there was plenty of other things to do in the area. A great spot for our large group of grandkids, adults kids, teens & adults - game room was a great space & we made a lot of food in the kitchen!

Family Friendly
Very family friendly from babies to adult. Plenty of space for a large group of people to stay. Owner and manager very friendly and helpful!! Would note the docks could be sturdier and made kid friendly. The outside of the home needed cleaning and some TLC. Overall we had a great stay and would return.

Nice layout for a big group, so many extras
We were so surprised at how big it was! It really fits a large group nicely. Loved the extras. We were gifted bottled water, wine and snacks and everyone was so impressed by that. The kitchen is very well equipped. We would come back.

A Great Place To Stay
This place is awesome!! We went there with a group of adults for my husband's 40th birthday. The place was clean and Dorothy was amazing at communication. She gave me a tour of the grounds and pointed out all of the different areas: fire pit, fish house, dock and kayaks. Any questions we had were answered very quickly. They were very accommodating for a late check out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. One of our guests said it was the best place we have stayed!

Great hospitality
We and our family had just a great time. The house was very clean and the hospitality of the Host and the Owner couldn't have been better. They did everything to please - and they did. WE had only one slight problem and they were on it immediately. The 9:00 a.m. check out time was a little stessful but we made it work and they were very appreciative.

Awesome experience!
What a great place to bring a large group that would prefer to stay together over renting several different places. The flow of the house is fabulous and allows several different gathering places for those looking to participate in different activities. We felt very welcomed with personal notes and amazing service/communication. The accommodations at the property were top notch as well, and everything was tidy and clean. Thanks for a great stay and we look forward to coming back!

Family and friends long weekend
Great house, room for our whole group(25). Well stocked and great management/ communication. Only problem was the bugs outside. Our group went through 6 full bottles of bug spray and 4 more half bottles. Everyone is covered in bites. Lots of water around the property and mucky ponds in front of the house. If you plan on staying inside this house is AMAZING. I would stay here again.

A Great Vacay!!
Our family (21 of us -> adult children with our grandkids....) had A Great Vacay at the Log Inn! We enjoyed the spacious home, wonderful property ~ and especially the FISHING! We easily caught sunfish, bass and northern - mostly off the dock! Madison Lake has much to explore ~ and the kids even got some inner-tubing and swimming time at a nearby beach. Dorothy and Jerry made our stay 'easy' as they were attentive to our needs and even left a few snacks for us. Fun!! We'll be back!

Amazing house and property!!
We loved our stay so much! Plenty of room for 14 of us (10 adults and 4 kids). Each family had their own room. The whole house was stocked with everything you could need. Loved having a washer/dryer. Also the access to the docks and all water craft equipment was awesome! Dorthy (manager) and Jerry (owner) answered questions right away and helped create a wonderful weekend retreat. Loved how close we were to the bike trail. We rode to the small town (go get ice cream at scoops) and the larger town (Mankato). Beautiful bike trail. We would definitely stay again.

A Historic home where memories are created
This quiet large home nestled in a very beautiful area away from the city. On Madison Lake where you can just sit outside and enjoy all nature has to offer. My family and I stayed here for a weekend. The host was beyond accommodating! The house is very unique and holds a lot of character. They thought of everything you would need to make your stay easy. The host even left snacks and water for us. The kitchen is stocked up very well .The garage has a lot of games, pool table, ping pong table, every age can enjoy. It is cozy even though it is a very large home. We all felt so very comfortable and made memories that will last a lifetime. THANK YOU THANK YOU for a weekend we will never forget.

Family Christmas at the Log Inn
This home is full of character and charm. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Dorothy is a very gracious and attentive hostess. This is by far one of the best homes that we have stayed in. The amenities were outstanding. There was a snack station, water bottles in every room, blue tooth speakers, puzzle books, and lots of reading books in every room. The kitchen is very well stocked. Everything you need to cook and feed a large group of people. Dorothy has with out a doubt thought of everything. We all enjoyed our vacation at the Log Inn and will definitely will go back again. As an added bonus we visited Jerry (the owner of the home) at his studio next door. It was very fascinating to learn the stories of how the house was built.

Perfect home for family gatherings!
I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay! We stayed here as my sister was getting married in Mankato and I wanted a large house where our entire family could stay. Firstly, we had a family emergency and our dates became uncertain. Dorothy, the manager, could not have been more gracious, caring, and helpful to us to ensure we had a great experience and that we were taken care of. Secondly, the house was perfect with tons of space both inside and outside for everyone to have fun (the game room was a big hit!). Every detail was thought of - from big, luxurious towels to snacks when we arrived. Dorothy did everything to make sure we had an ideal experience. This stay was a 5 star for our family and I would recommend it highly - you won't be disappointed! Thank you Dorothy and Jerry!

Spacious & Gracious
Our weekend at "The White House", as our young children so excitedly referred to it as, was absolutely delightful. This property offered everything we needed to feel right at home. Dorothy and Jerry went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and safe in the blizzard. He plowed multiple times per day and made sure we could get to our family wedding without any difficulty! Dorothy has thought of everything in the house...right down to having cotton swabs in each bathroom and bedtime stories in the cousins room! A well stocked kitchen makes it easy to make any meal you'd normally make in your own home. Our kids loved the nearby snow hill, game room, and large open spaces to just play and make memories with their cousins! Our extended family get together on this beautiful property was so relaxing and enjoyable; we will be back!!! Thank you kindly for making our stay perfect!

Grooms Dinner and Hosting
A fabulous place to host our grooms dinner as we got married at Ahavah Cottage! The venue only lets you have an hour so having a place to gather afterwards that was close and large enough to host a catered meal was important. Plenty of rooms, very large kitchen and everyone was pleased! Plus, how sweet to leave treats, wine, and a note for us! Our only note is that a little later checkout would have been nice, but not that big of a deal.
