What a quaint, away from the Main Street noise, fabulous place to stay. This is a short walk just past the Statue of Liberty, that we walked with ease to & from Main St. The twin sisters, Rose & Caroline are friendly and welcoming & want to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay with them pleasant & enjoyable. I called in advance to make sure there were toiletries & that we're white noise sleepers & if a fan was provided. They made sure to place a box fan in our room. They even hand wrote a card welcoming & thanking us for our stay with them. Small gestures go a long way with the experience. Our room overlooked the hot tub to the property in front of this one, and kept the windows open to hear the waterfall, which was pleasant to fall a sleep to. We also had a small water view which was stunning. We chose to have the bathroom in suite & took advantage of a soak each night in the claw tub. I might recommend some bath salts or bubbles complimentary for guests, but we did find a shop in town that sold some. The bed & pillows were firm.
The breakfast was quite good, choices from bagels, Danishes, oatmeal, some sort of egg & meat dish, yogurt, and cereals. The coffee was great, and they had decaf & tea options. They served an afternoon coffee/tea time 4-5pm which was a nice treat. The playlists for both settings set a perfect ambiance. We had an amazing time visiting in October and Pine Cottage added to our wonderful experience.
