"Stay here you won’t regret it.Fabulous hidden gem. What can I say? Just blown away by this hotel. Set in a breathtaking area which is just like being back in Florence. "The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."

"We stayed at the house for a week with a group of 9 friends. The house itself was great! We were kindly welcomed by Jean Pierre who gave us some great tips on what to do in the area. The ruins of Donzy are nice to visit, and the hilly region is beautiful to walk through. Otherwise there is little to do for tourists in Panissières itself, it's just a regular French village. Luckily there are large cities (Lyon and Saint-Etienne) within a one hour drive. The same goes for the Beaujolais wine...
