Cloisters is a self-contained wing of a spacious Regency home with the benefits of modern conveniences. It has been newly refurbished for self-catering holiday lets. All the rooms are furnished with a pleasing mix of antiques and contemporary pieces for your comfort.
Having parked in the two allotted spaces there are stepping stones leading directly to the kitchen door which facilitates unloading cars and on-line food deliveries. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, all electrical appliances and a walk in larder. Next to that is the breakfast room which seats 10 (or 12 if the two high chairs are added.) Next comes the utility area with tiled floor to a side door in the small turret where we keep the tennis rackets. This is a convenient entry for muddy boots, wet dogs and even bicycles if you prefer to store those inside rather than in the racks provided under the veranda. Next is the Utility Room with washing machine, separate dryer, additional fridge/freezer, iron and board, hoover, mops and brooms. Beside this is a butler's cupboard containing the high chairs. Moving into the carpeted area there is a downstairs w/c and two large rooms. The double aspect drawing room is perfect for gathering everyone together while those wanting to watch a different TV programme or play table football can slip next door to the games room.
Upstairs the skylight illuminates the large and airy landing where there is a desk with complimentary postcards of Cloisters and a two-seater sofa which is the best place to access Wi-Fi and Broadband. Leading from the landing are two master bedrooms, both with half-tester beds and en-suites. The pink and green en-suite has a shower over the bath, a toilet and a wash basin while the blue one has a walk-in shower and a toilet as the basin is in the bedroom (in true Edwardian fashion.) On the left corner of the landing is another w/c and a corridor leading to the atmospheric tiled Edwardian bathroom in the small turret featuring a free-standing roll-top bath, large wash basin and the original Regency glass window panes. Next to this is a twin room decorated, with children in mind, in a nautical theme with colourful bed linen and a dramatic red wall again with a wash basin in the corner. Finally the double aspect toile de jouy room also has extra wide twin beds. Both twin rooms share the large bathroom and separate w/c. The total number of full-sized beds is 8 but there are two 'day-beds' and/or two cots which can be set up in the larger rooms.
The house is set up for 10 in terms of seating, cutlery and crockery. We supply all cleaning materials including washing up liquid, hand soap, bin bags, recycling bags, paper towels, paper napkins, dish-washer tablets and washing powder. There is also a supply of tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. Bed linen and towels are included except for cots. The New Forest District council supply bins for glass re-cycling too.
