"Lovely staff, great breakfast, wonderful facilities "

"The Roots Hotel was very convenient and comfortable, with a great location. We needed a parking spot, which they provided in an underground garage for a cost of 7 euros per day. We also needed to be near the train station, which was a very short walk from the hotel. And we wanted to be near Faro Airport, which was a short taxi ride away. In addition, there were tons of restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. So the location was ideal for our stay and the front desk was very friendly. They offered complimentary coffee/cappuccino, etc in a room off the lobby. The room itself had a good separate bathroom with a large shower, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, stove, microwave and dishes/dishwasher. We had no complaints about the room at all. Out of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our visit to Portugal, The Roots would be rated in the top two. I would definitely stay there again!"

"Great location and views from roof terrace and the room. Breakfast buffet was fresh, lots of choice. Staff were amazing and noticed that one of our party had a Birthday the day of our check in and arranged a lovely surprise of a bottle of Sparkling to be brought to the room. This made an already lovely stay even more special."

"Spacious bedroom overlooking the marina. Breakfast and lunch we had was excellent, plenty of choice. Service in restaurant and bars very professional. Quick check in. Very clean in public areas and rooms."

"Quiet child free hotel. Very modern with spa, pool, gym and roof top bar, restaurant, lounge. Lost a necklace somewhere in the hotel which was found by a cleaner and returned. Overall excellent."
