"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joelle and Christian’s gite. Both very helpful; neither speak English but Joelle is very animated so you should get the gist of what she is saying. Location was good - easy access to Avignon, Arles, Apt etc. Lots of little cute villages to visit in the area. The gite is exactly as the photos. Very quiet and private. Secure parking onsite. Had everything we needed. The village is small, very quiet; no real vibe but Le Bistrot and the Maison de Celou are both good...

We stayed 8 nights and the gite was a perfect location for exploring all around Provence. And you'll love all the critters! "This rental was clean and spacious in a nice quiet hamlet about 3 km south of Rousillon with free parking. However at first it was difficult to find as the listing shows it in the center of Rousillon. Once we found it and met the owner, she was very responsive despite the fact that we spoke little French and she spoke little English. This owner gives you the option of bringing your own sheets/linens and doing your own cleaning or you are assessed an additional fee. Aside from the two surprises...

"We absolutely loved our time at this loft style apartment. We found it very spacious for 2 people and spent a lot of our 3 weeks there gazing out the window at the activity in the church square. Everything from market (literally right outside your door), to children going to school, elderly folks walking their dogs, people in cafes, tourists, etc. However, by nightfall, it was exceptionally quiet to sleep. The spaciousness of the apartment was wonderful for us and the open feeling outside...
