Beatiful Views - Great Space for our family of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cas'Anita. The house is clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with equipment for cooking. The bathrooms are clean with good water pressure in the showers and there are plenty of fresh towels. The beds are comfortable and have nice linens. There is good lighting throughout the common areas and bedrooms as well as terrace and entryway lighting. The wifi is good and works well throughout the space for email, internet browsing as well as streaming movies. The house is high on a hill with excellent views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Our family of two adults and 3 young boys is quite active so we parked the car and never needed to use it to get around town. It was about a 10 minute walk down the hill to a grocery store and shops on the east side of Lugano and another 10 minutes if you wanted to walk to the center of town and the public beach and park area. In the opposite direction you have easy access to Sentiero dell'olivo which is a beautiful historic town area with cobblestone paths and olive groves along the water. A beautiful are for walking, running and biking with access to cafés. My wife described her run through this area as "her favorite run ever" and she runs a lot. Overall we had an excellent stay here. Cas'Anita is an excellent place to stay and we hope to come back soon.

Castagnola
We had a wonderful time in Castagnola. The bus took us wherever we wanted to go. We had the Swiss rail pass so bus travel was free. We could get to the train station easily. The property is located just up the hill from a bus stop. As with most places with a wonderful view in Switzerland, it was a bit of a hike to the house but well worth it. There was very little English spoken but everyone that could help was very nice. The house is quite lovely with beautiful furnishings and all the amenities we needed. We took a ferry ride around the lake which I would recommend.

We stayed at Cas'Anita for four nights in early March. Antonella greeted us on our arrival and showed us around the house. She was so friendly and responsive to our emails before and during our stay. The location of the house is good for a quick drive to Lake Como, and it is a pleasant walk into Lugano (about 20 minutes). Size of the house is ideal for a family and guests are invited to use the appliances and kitchenware. Coming from the US, we are not familiar with European appliances and were unable to figure out the coffee machine. We did find YouTube assistance with the washer and dryer, and would suggest having a set of simple directions for future guests. Another suggestion is to have the heat in the house turned on a day before guests arrive. The house was very cold on our arrival and we were chilled through the following day. After that, the heat was fine through the house (and we used the space heaters throughout). I was surprised after booking the house that a breakage deposit of CHF 500 in cash was required. While we received our cash back at check out, it is a lot of money to carry and not be able to use (we were leaving Switzerland after our stay). It would be much easier on the guests to request a charge held on the credit card for this deposit.

Ferienhaus mit Charme
Die Aussicht auf den Luganer See ist einfach traumhaft. Das Haus ist rustikal eingerichtet und bietet alles was man für einen angenehmen, entspannten Urlaub braucht. Da es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, klemmt hier und da etwas, aber diese kleinen Mängel verleihen der Unterkunft einen gewissen Charme. Check-in und Check-out gingen einfach und schnell und die Verwalterin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit.

het meer van Lugano is een topper!
We verbleven gedurende ons verblijf voornamelijk aan de eettafel op het terras. Wat een uitzicht zowel overdag als in de avond, geen moment verveeld. Dicht bij Lugano is ook een voordeel. Goede bedden en een gedateerd interieur, maar dat was ons geen probleem.

Gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in Traumlage
In der traumhaften Umgebung zwischen Palmen, Seen und Bergen kann man viel erleben: Ausflüge zum smaragdgrünen Verzasca- Fluss und dem -Tal mit beeindruckendem Staudamm, sowie Wanderungen durch weitgehend unberührte Natur und auf nahegelegenen Berge. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung, sehr gut ausgestattet und man kommt auch gut per Auto oder zu Fuß in alle Richtungen.
