Three blocks from James Street and less than a mile to the Stearns Park Beach. Walk or drive to the Jamesport, Ludington Brewery, the many restaurants, Red Rooster coffee shop or the other antique and interesting shops there on James Street. The downtown is 4 blocks away for shopping, restaurants and souvenirs. The marina and waterfrontk park are a short 4+ block walk as well as the famous Badger Ferry. Come back home after a day at the beach, shopping or exploring the many attractions around and relax on the covered front porch or the private backyard garden/patio deck. Grill on the new Blackstone grill, or the new regular 4 burner/smoker capable grill or cook in the well appointed and stocked brand new kitchen with five burner gas stove and all new stainless steel appliances . Let the kids or yourselves enjoy chess, dominos, back gammon or cards on the game table in the large living room, which also has a Double futon or watch the 55 inch smart TV. Upstairs in the bonus/entertainment/bedroom a great place for kids is a 50” smart TV, card table, many board games (located in the lower cupboard of buffet in dining room), dvd/vhs player with video library and twin and queen beds. The other upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and headboard with USB charging for your cell phone and ceiling to floor mirrored sliding doors to the closet, a large window to the front of the house and a smart TV. Each floor has a newly remodeled full bathroom. There is a backroom/workroom with washer and dryer affectionately named “The Museum” keeping the memory of our Granpa Barney’s house and the heritage of this 1900 era, built house. “The Museum” is as it was since it was built.
Visit the many beaches along North Lakeshore drive including Ludington State Park Beach and Dunes. On your way back stop at Stix Bar/Entertainment center, garden patio & pier and bowling. Find your way to Bortello’s Fish market for take out fish dinners or purchase smoked varieties of Salmon, White fish and Trout from what’s caught daily. Remember to take cash or check only. Ludington has a unique 1969 build Hydro dam you can visit on S. Lakeshore drive where the Lake Michigan water is pumped up to a reservoir and then released to the huge turbines down by the lake to produce electricity for the area. Following your hydro dam visit go south a short way to Bortello’s Fish Market. Just staying town for the day?
