This home and property is beautiful. So peaceful and relaxing with many things close by to explore. The owners went above and beyond and we really appreciated their hospitality!
The house was extremely clean and has all the amenities of home in the most peaceful and serene atmosphere the bottle of champaign in the refrigerator was a pleasent surprise and was greatly appriciated we look forward to booking again soon
We planned this weekend stay about a month in advance & Melissa was very easy to contact with any questions while we were planning. Once we arrived, we felt right at home. The home is so nicely decorated, very comfortable feel, & secluded. It had everything we needed, plus things we didn’t even realize we might need! We spent a majority of our time sitting around a fire, but the one morning it rained we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch to watch the storm roll through. My 8 year olds favorite part was all of the places to hide for hide & seek! We’re hoping to return here in the spring for another visit!
we were pleasantly surprised and thrilled with how secluded and beauty of the property. The yard and fire ring gave us some very relaxing time after our rides enjoying the fire pit.
I absolutely love this house. This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint! The house is very clean!
The treats they leave are a nice touch!
The property is absolutely gorgeous and very private.
I would recommend this place over and over again.
Hopefully get to stay here again soon!
Beautiful property with everything you need and more. Just as advertised. We rented this to go 4-wheeling at the Allegheny National Forest. Was a bit of a haul to get to trail heads but that’s what we did. The only small inconvenience was not having mirrors in bedrooms. When 4 people need to get ready to out to dinner.
We were in town for graduation at Clarion and this was the perfect place to stay. From morning coffee on the front porch and walking the bike trail to cooking on the grill and fires at night in the fire pit, this place has it all. The location is so private yet close to the college and our favorite spot Deer Creek Winery! Lovely decor inside this amazing house.
The place was amazing. The hosts left pleasant surprises everywhere. The environment was so peaceful and private. The home was spotless. Best memories ever!
We went for a girls get away and this was a perfect place. No neighbors but yet close enough to town. Love to be able to walk the property and took some amazing pictures. This is a great get away if looking for a place off the beaten path. Would recommend it to anyone that likes the wilderness.
We loved this house! The weather was not kind to us but we had the lovely front porch to sit on to make up for that. The rain finally stopped and we got to enjoy the fire pit and star gaze! We loved how close it is to the bike trail which was one of our main reasons for staying here. If we come to this area again we would love to stay here again!
Everything turned out great. It even didn't rain. The only complaints was the firm mattresses and the road noise, but inside the house was quite. We saw lots of wildlife, a mother deer with three fawns, salamander, chipmunk, birds and a bat. The property is absolutely beautiful, so much to look around and explore. Melissa gave us a pile of firewood. There are two bikes in the garage which was nice for the trail beside the road. The house had everything you could need. The kitchen was fully stocked. Everything was clean. I hope we can stay here in the future. Thank you Melissa for opening your home to us.
Perfect spot for Rail 66 & Cook Forest! Bike & hike in the great outdoors!
Exceptionally clean, cozy, and everything you need other than your personal belongings! Just a nicely decorated place to stay if you plan to do anything in the area. The owners thought of everything. It was so well stocked with paper & cleaning products, well supplied kitchen with some of the essentials like spices, tea & coffee, sugar & butter, plus all you need to have a campfire. They didn't skimp on the quality of the bedding & towels either. Thank you to Mike & Melissa for making our 1st time to the area a wonderful experience. You certainly deserve the title "super hosts"! We plan to return to do more biking and hiking!
We looked the house. Remodeled some of it and was perfect, Myself, my husband, stepdaughter, her husband and my 13 year old granddaughter had a great weekend. Went out to a good dinner just down the road then came back and had a bonfire, made jiffy pop pop corn on the fire. Next day went horse back riding, go-cart riding than went to house, my granddaughter went on the bikes in the garage and went for a little ride. made a nice spaghetti dinner at the house, then off to get ice cream. Had another bonfire and made s'mores, love burning marsh mellows, lol. Went shopping the day we left. Had a relaxing, nice weekend with some of my family. Thank you for letting us stay at your house. Would recommend to everyone I know. Thanks again. Donna

Communication with property manager was excellent, a hair dryer was not in the unit and the manager immediately got one for us!
Great spot to get away from it all. The fall colors were amazing!!!
Amazing update to peaceful country farmhouse; Rest, renew, enjoy the outdoors
We were so pleased at every turn through this amazingly updated country farmhouse and peaceful, private property. We had the place to ourselves. It was what we were looking for and more. Hosts have done an excellent job with updates and remodeling - bathroom is beautiful, modern. Kitchen has modern conveniences. New paint and remodeling has been well-done to preserve some of the vintage touches - door handles, trim, etc. We enjoyed the message the hosts left with the chocolates and though we aren't coffee drinkers, appreciated the set-up and coffee provided. Also enjoyed our evenings at the campfire under the stars. So quiet, with no neighbors in sight. Firestarter and light-stick were provided along with some wood, flashlight and comfortable seats near the fire. Access to the Route 66 bike trail is right there at the property. We enjoyed biking this trail and were able to leave right from the house and jump on the trail. We also did a peaceful morning walk on the trail. Breakfast and coffee on the spacious front porch with gorgeous original wood ceiling, overlooking the woods and listening to the birds, was just the thing we needed to ease into the day. This place is close in proximity to Cook's Forest, about 15-20 min for hiking and kayaking/canoeing; we were back and forth several times and felt it was an easy drive and convenient. We suggest maybe a couple of places to hang clothes or towels or to put things, especially if there are more than two people staying. The hosts are very kind and warm and willing to help with ideas for activities in the area (we spoke at check-in), but they let us enjoy our peace & quiet during our time there. They also have a couple of bikes available for use on the trail. They have really done a lot of work to make this a wonderful place for couples, friends, families to rest and relax and/or take in the outdoor activities of the region.
