Lucignano in Val di Chiana is a small Tuscan town.
Its position can be defined as crucial: very central, it is a few minutes from Arezzo, Cortona is Lake Trasimeno; less than an hour from Siena, Perugia, Pienza, Montepulciano; one hour from Florence, two hours from Rome ...
Casa Giulia is a modern villa surrounded by greenery, part of which is inhabited by the owners.
It is located on the top of a hill from which you can enjoy a suggestive panorama of the historic center of Lucignano, from which it is a few hundred meters away, and can therefore be reached on foot.
It has 6 beds, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a large kitchen and living room for a total area of about 100 square meters.
The park of the villa is completely fenced and inhabited by family cats and a small dog.
Casa Giulia opens onto the garden which leads to the swimming pool.
Shared with the owners' family, the swimming pool, 5X10 in size, has a shower, solarium with deck chairs and sun loungers. On the side you will find a gazebo with table, chairs and armchairs.
The house develops on one floor.
The kitchen, fully equipped and equipped with dishwasher and microwave oven, opens onto a terrace equipped for dining.
The large living room is furnished with armchairs and a TV
The sleeping area is characterized by a corridor overlooked by the bedrooms, one of which has a private bathroom, and a shared bathroom.
It has a barbecue and traditional wood oven.
Upon request, the owner can organize breakfast, dinners and small events.
The surrounding landscape is typically Tuscan.
The historic center of Lucignano, of medieval origin, is characterized by a unique elliptical plan.
Walking through its streets you will find numerous churches including the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo and the wonderful San Francesco. Of no less importance are the Church of Mercy, the Church of San Giuseppe and, outside the walls, the Church of the Madonna della Querce and the small San Giusto.
The top of the town is dominated by the Town Hall, inside which a "mignon" museum preserves important works of art, among which the famous "Golden Tree" stands out, a finely chiseled reliquary from the end of the 1300s, covered with corals in front of which legend has it that couples declare eternal love.
There are numerous restaurants and pizzerias where you can delight your palate, even if we advise you to choose, at least for one evening, "Il Goccino" which is also a wine shop.
In the village you will also find a well-stocked grocery, a bread oven and various other shops.
Numerous events animate Lucignano during the year.
The Maggiolata Lucignanese is perhaps the most important: it takes place on the last two Sundays of May involving the four districts of the country in the construction of flower wagons that will parade along the main street alternating with historical groups and folkloric bands.
Following Camminmangiando, a food and wine walk of about 8 km along the hills of Lucignano, which normally takes place on the second Sunday of June.
We arrive in September to find Arts and Crafts between 800 and 900, a market exhibition of handicraft products animated by period costume figures.
We end in December with the Ceppo and Cappone Fair which takes place the weekend before Christmas.
