Amazing place to stay. Fantastic location with the lake just meters away and a amazing walk up to the 45th parallel. Hosts were great and have the place looking amazing.
Lovely two bed accommodation with stunning views across the lake. Situated in Lowburn which is a beautiful one hour lakeside walk into Cromwell. Hosts were friendly with good instructions.
Lovely setting on the lakefront, ideally situated a few minutes drive from Cromwell.
Cosy and warm good for this time of the year, cooling and road noise may be an issue in hottter months.
Property manual had little to no information regarding any facilities no mention of the spa pool availability or the places of interest and restaurant recommendations.
You would stay at the Cottage by the Lake at Lowburn for two reasons. You are breaking up a road trip with a comfortable night or nights stay in modern units with all of the amenties. The other reason is you want a modern place that you can just chill, watching the ducks in the lagoon/lake while you enjoy a morning coffee or in the afternoon sitting on the seat by lakes edge. Lowburn is close enough for exploring what Central Otago has to offer. Enjoy

Loved our nightly Duck visit! Beautiful view and everything you need after a big day!
Me and my wife really enjoyed this bach. Beauitifuly designed bach with great view of lake and snow capped mountains. Very clean with all the modern amenities. Had a nice walk up the hill on opposite side of lake which had an amazing view of surrounding area. Close to beautiful Cromwell town where we bought fresh meal ingredients.
Property owner was friendly and accommodating.
Highly recommend. 10/10
This stay was in a fairly new compact but functional selfcontained cottage beside part of Lake Dunstan. Host was very accommodating. Kayak's and cycles available at no extra cost. Some traffic noise during day but quiet at night. Thank you Lowburn
Our stay was very short but we found that everything about this booking and stay was hassle free and great. Great spectacular view over looking the river and so central to everything. The cottage is equipped with all essentials and more. Our stay was at the end of April and outside it was cooling down but the cottage is cosy and warm, bed was very comfortable. The hosts are very lovely people although we didn’t see them much as our holiday was jammed packed and we were only there in the mornings and at night. It was my partners first time in the South Island and he definitely preferred staying this beautiful and quaint cottage than the Timaru hotel or Christchurch motel we stayed in. Thank you Donald and Sally for making the experience amazing!
Great stay just out of Cromwell, beautiful setting and handy central location. Unit had everything we needed for a weekend stay and was very well set up, clean and tidy. Will stay here again.
Overall great ngā mihi nui! Staff very pleasant & helpful including lending 2 bikes we used on Bannock burn track; they helped with equipment to attach car bike rack & a tyre pump!!
We were surprised by the ‘no children’ rule - because the lake frontages are unfenced?
Glad to see solar panels!
Mid summer cooling would be helped by some fans; opening windows increased road noise!
Final suggestion would be to provide composting facilities & less use of plastic containers for soap etc
Ngā mihi mahana
