"Plenty of activities for all the kids. However there were a lot of fragile decorations around we had to hide so the kids wouldnt break them. The lake was nice and full and easy to launch the pedal boats and kayaks from the dock. The older kids had a blast pedalling around. The place feels secluded and woody. Great stay. "

"I am not a boring Hilton mom. I love to immerse my family into the culture and local fokelore of our destinations. My children are all adults and we have stayed at some doozeies, but every now and then we find a hidden Gem. The Hat House is definitely just that. The fact that it is shaped like a hat barely touches the magic of this place. If a house that lived in my mind could come to fruition, this would be it. We thoroughly enjoyed the record collection, local historic photos, and unique antiques throughout. Every amenity you could dream for was provided. Extremely clean, and well stocked with essentials and extras. The builder of this home, Dan Phillips was an amazing guy that found creativity in building with recycled items. It was GREAT to read about his story. I would love to have a walking...

"The lake home was better than I had expected. Hosts were wonderful and easy to work with. When I had questions they got back to me immediately. The home was super clean and decor was beautifully welcoming. The home was equipped with everything you could possibly think you need. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the water while sipping hot tea. The neighborhood was quiet and the location of the house makes you feel like there is no one for miles. "My husband and I booked this home for a valentines getaway. We planned to be gone for a few days, so we wanted a place that had lots to do. This Vrbo checked all our boxes and then some!! The hot tub was amazing. The kayaks were super fun! And the fire table on the doc was so cozy!we had a fantastic time and we would definitely come here again! This Vrbo was so warm and inviting!"

"This place had plenty of room and a great view of the lake. Lots of room in the driveway for all of our family to park. We were able to have all of our adult children and their kids join us for Thanksgiving here. The house has been updated to have a modern look and lot's of amenities. The garage was converted to a kids room with bunk beds, arcade games and lot's of room to play. Very satisfied with our stay here. "

"The place was cristal clean and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. My dad caught a huge fish, and we spent time kayaking on the lake. We also played some fun games they had kindly provided and roasted marshmallows by the firepit. We’ll definitely recommend this spot to our friends and will be back "

"We had a large group staying for competition purposes in Huntsville. The house provided plenty of sleeping space, as well as room to spread out and study, fellowship, and prepare for our contests. The laundry room was very handy, and the kitchens and bathrooms provided all necessary towels, shampoo, soap, etc. We really enjoyed the stay."

"Our stay was great, the place was very clean, and easy to access. The down sides of the place like low water pressure is mostly like due to the location of the property, i highly doubt the owners can do anything about it. We were unable to connect to the wifi to watch tv or anything, but when we contacted the owners they responded very quick and tried to have it fixed but it didn't work. But the effort was there. Over all the stay was great and everyone enjoyed the stay while we were there."
