Hotel closed - but still took our money!!
Hotel Catherine was permanently closed when we arrived to checkin, although we were able to book and pay in advance for a non-refundable room on Hotels.com The entry area of Hotel Catherine was littered with leaves and rubbish, so it had been closed for some time. A note on the door directed us to a cheaper hotel about 600 metres away, which honoured our original booking. We paid in advance for a hotel that was closed, and had been closed for some time, and was directed to a cheaper hotel (albeit was very nice). That hotel told us Hotel Catherine was closed for the winter. Disappointing that it was still listed on Hotels.com and the hotel took our money, when we could have booked the other hotel ourselves and saved some euros. Where I live that is called a fraud!!

the hotel was close for winter time was assigned St. Jean Hotel nice clean friendly staff with good breakfast.

Not as advertised
We booked our hotel one day prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the hotel it was locked, with a note on the door directing guests to another location. We went to the other location (an apartment complex) wherein the receptionist advised us that guests were to stay there as the hotel was closed for construction. The apartment complex was a one star property. It is disappointed that a company can advertise one property when they knowingly will then place you in another property (bait and switch technique).

Nice for one night
The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the Grotto The room was clean but small.We were 4 people, 2 beds and one sofa. The sofa was not comfortable The bathroom was clean. The shower is separate from the toilet. Very convinent for 4 people. The receptionist, Felippa, speaks English and Spanish. Friendly staff The cost of the breakfast was 7 Euros and had cheese, croissant, orange or apple juice, and coffee machine. Big parking lot in front of the hotel No staff after 8:00 pm, you need to have a code to enter to the hotel

Comfortable and convenient
Hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient to shrine. Truly value for money. Only one staff member who attended to everything very efficiently. She was welcoming and always pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. His hotel provided more value than expected for the price.

The hotel was closed and I was at Hotel Saint Jean
I stayed at Apart/Hotel Saint Jean. I liked it. It was nice. Only think, you cannot call from the hotel and was little bit hot, but not a problem. The staff was very good and helpful. I will return for my next stay.

Great hotel
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, cleaner was in every day, emptying bins and changing towels. There was loads of wardrobe space and a table with chairs. My only advice is to move the phone off the headboard and change the mattress but so nice n clean always

Not what I expected
It's an older building so it has a foul smell, definitely needs new carpet. The elevator didn't work. The rooms are small, but not bad. The beds seemed clean and the bathrooms OK, except for the WC (which fortunately was separated from the shower/sink) that smelled like urine. We were on the first floor and the curtains are very light and see-through, so the lights of the cars at night shone right through. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything, including people walking in the hallways. Needless to say, we didn't sleep very well. There is one receptionist, not very engaging, whom we only saw a couple of times during our 4 day stay. So if you need help with anything, good luck. If you're going to the Sanctuary, there are other hotels that are closer.

I had wanted to go to Lourdes all my life This hotel was ideal near grotto but nice quiet area where I could reflect. The staff very friendly and helpful

Lourdes a mixed blessing
Stayed in Lourdes to visit the basilica. The hotel was very convenient for that and the staff were very helpful and polite. Unfortunately because of the number of tourists it was a very noisy place with coach parties arriving and leaving neighbouring hotels at all times of the day and night. Along with camper vans of tourists parking day and night. So this is not a quiet relaxing venue for a break. There are also lots of beggars many with mobile phones so not convinced that they were genuine as they seemed to coordinate their pitches around the town. We were the victims of a pick pocket and lost an amount of cash and had to cancel all our cards. So visitors beware that although it is seen as a holy place the number of tourists it attracts also draws the low life to prey on them.

Il y a trop de bruit aux alentours. Ma chambre donnait du côté rue et le bruit des véhicules et des personnes qui restent dans la rue pour discuter nous as beaucoup gêné.

A estadia foi de uma noite e para o preço não foi mal mas tenho dois pontos a apontar: 1 - A tábua do estrado da cama de casal estava partida que fazia o colchão estar mais baixo no meio da cama (não é muito confortável dormir assim); 2 - As cortinas não vedarem bem as janelas - Vê-se de fora para dentro ((não é muito confortável). Tirando estes dois pontos, que no meu entender o hotel devia melhorar, correu bem. A menina na receção era simpática.

Albergo semplice ma decoroso. Ottima posizione x raggiungere a piedi il Santuario e per posteggiare l'auto, di fronte infatti c'è un grande parcheggio libero.
