We were in Kentucky for work and this home was really close to the Kentucky Expo Center and local places to eat. It was really nice being able to come home to a house instead of a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time at the Terrace or property. We had 9 guests with plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is charming! It was nice to walk around and look at all the historical homes. We would definitely return.

Terrible Communication
We checked in for a weekend stay while in town for a family funeral. Check in process was easy and seamless. House was a little dirty, but not terrible. We had a group of 10 including kids. The first night we went to take showers and noticed that the water was cold. Tried all the showers in the house and found 2 that got a little warm. I messaged the host at least 10 times over 2 days with 0 response. I contacted VRBO and they reached out to the Host on my behalf. Also - no response. I would avoid this host
Situated in a tucked away part of Old Louisville, this old 3-story + basement house was ideal for a large holiday gathering of family. Wish we could have had better weather (Christmas snow) to appreciate the mini-neighborhood of houses there. Must be beautiful in spring/summer!
The home is in a location that provides great proximity to the downtown area and the highway for travelling outside of downtown. The front porch is nice for sitting and walking the court was a nice experience to see features of other historic homes.
The home was perfect for 5 couples, with great bathroom resources. The owner is responsive and provided us with a new coffee pot when the current coffee pot was not functional. Check In and Check Out are easy and smooth with minimal check out requirements.
Our favorite feature for a house of 10 adults was the instant hot water at the sinks and in the shower, hot water was never an issue.
We would stay here again!
Our family looked for a place to stay that had ample bedrooms and space in a central location for our bourbon trail stops, and we were not disappointed! The house has so much room and character!!! It’s is an older home but has been renovated tastefully without giving up its history. The neighborhood is quiet and parking on the street was not an issue. The location was close to the interstate and lots of local places for dining and drinks. We used the main floor every evening for game night and basement for games as well. David was great and very responsive ….thank you!!!! Just a great family trip all around!!!

Owner left us stranded with no way to enter house and wasn’t responsive to messages or emails, even ones that were sent 24 hrs prior to checkin. On day of arrival no instructions were sent to enter property and even Expedia couldn’t get a hold of owner. The 11 of us had to go find hotels at the last minute.
Great location, and could be a great house however updates need to be made.
The home is very beautiful in a stunning historic area. However once you have stayed for a few hours, things change... there are blown out lights, or no lights in many of the rooms. There were NO curtains upstairs so the boys sleeping up there were up at the crack of dawn. One of the light bulbs popped so had to look everywhere for a vacuum and in doing the vacuuming we noted that that place was not very clean. There is not enough plates, cups etc for the amount of guest staying (we had 11 and a baby). And no dishwasher liquid or tablets so couldn't even clean the dirty ones properly to reuse. These should be standard for traveling guests. There was no air con in the top floor and the vent on the top floor fell to the ground just missing my son who was lying in the bed. This place could be an AMAZING place - but it needs some love and care.
The house was amazing! We had a large group staying in the house and the layout was perfect! We were able to spread out and everyone had their own space! From the basement to the "penthouse"! The owner was very informative even down to the entrance and where to put the trash! Loved it!!
Came to Louisville to do the Bourbon Trail. We saw four distilleries on a Saturday. The house was perfect and clean. Beds were comfortable. The neighbors were friendly and the area had a safe historical feel. I would stay there again.
I didn’t want to have to leave a review like this, but unfortunately I felt after my messages with the owner and the experience our group had left me with little to no choice. We had to initiate the process to check in upon arrival and we got there approximately 30 minutes after the check in time. Once we got ourselves inside and checked in we were met with dustiness on all surfaces, urine all over a bathroom, ants on the counters, gnats and flies flying around, cleanly carpets, cobwebs on light fixtures, pretty much all lightbulbs missing from any lamps, the freezer leaked water into the kitchen, the basement had flooding that leaked into the bathroom, prior guests left trash outside that animals got into below the porch, duck tape to cover holes in the glass portion of the front door, the 3rd floor bedroom was approximately 90 degrees, and not nearly enough cutlery to host a home for a 6 bedroom home. We also found stains on bedsheets, laundry already in the dryer (not put away, must have been the expectation that we would do that upon arrival), and we did not see a mouse but we did see mouse feces and after I had shared all of these issues with the owner who then called me “impossible”. They did send the cleaning crew back but I asked that if they did that to please let us know and we would try to leave the place so we wouldn’t be in the way and they came without notice. The host does not care about your stay- it’s a money grab for them. We tried to move and they refused.

Beautiful inside - several inconveniences
Pros: The inside of the house looks exactly like the pictures! Very big, great space for a large group (we had 6). Modern on the inside.
Cons: Porch light was out, which was scary for us since we didn’t arrive until after 10PM. Front door lock did not work to access the house - owner is aware and just advised to use back door. That was not convenient for us as we had to walk through a hilly yard to get to the back. There were literally only 3 forks in the house, which didn’t make sense because they advertise how the house sleeps 10. We had to let our 3 teens eat first, then we were able to use the 3 forks. The bathroom in my bedroom did not have a caddy or any shelves in the shower so we had to put our shower gel on the floor while we were in the shower. There also was not a dispenser for the toilet paper so we had to just sit the role on the sink etc. Minor unexpected inconvenience , but it should be fixed. Typically, I receive check in details 2-3 days before my stay. But this property did not share the info until the day of, which made us nervous during our travels.
Friends and I were visiting Louisville for a bourbon tasting and theological retreat. The home was spacious, decor up to date, and provided a great place for us to comfortably gather outside or our planned activities. Would definitely stay again if we ever make our way back to Louisville.
Everything was pretty good. House it’s beautiful it self, but It was not as clean enough. And the sheets weren’t wash. I had to wash them all before we used the beds. Pillows are very dirty (yellow).
I would suggest more pans. There was only 2 and old.
Stayed with a group of 9 friends for two nights during the week. Plenty of space and great location. Would definitely return if ever back in Louisville.
For the rate we paid, we felt like the property was a good value. The neighborhood is nice, old Louisville but there's definitely some lower income multi-family housing mixed in with the million dollar homes. Good proximity to both downtown as well as highways to explore bourbon country. Home was nicely done and updated in the kitchen and bathrooms. Home could use some limited repairs/maintenance (oven wasn't working, brick steps to get into the house were loose, etc) and would really benefit from some sort of usable outdoor space. It's a good size property but the only usable portion of the exterior is the front porch. Bedding was definitely lacking as the quality of the mattresses/pillows was really sub par. A lot of very firm mattresses and motel-style thin and crunchy pillows. Property management was not responsive for weeks leading up to the check-in date but was then extremely responsive in the 48 hours prior, which made up for it.

Nice place on a beautiful street
The house is nice, as the pictures show but could use some TLC. Floral Terrace is a stunningly beautiful garden walkway, I recommend taking a stroll on it. It would have been nice if the host would have answered my questions before our stay. A little communication goes a long way. The 3 star review is not based on the accommodations but on the host.
