Spacious 3200 square foot sparkling clean Ohio riverfront home in upscale area just off major Louisville highway, gorgeous natural view across the river of the wooded hills of Charlestown State Park. Large open concept area and generous deck overlooking the Ohio River, plenty of space for your whole group to mingle, yet ample space to spread out for solitary time. Common area has a wall of glass with 3 doors opening onto deck, sunken living room, large fully-equipped kitchen, riverfront dining room with seating for 8 plus seating for 4 at the kitchen island, and cozy, crackling wood-burning fireplace. Four beautifully decorated bedrooms all have queen beds. There is also a daybed with trundle, futon, double-high queen aerobed (upon request). All bathrooms have showers, one has shower/tub combo, liquid soap, shampoo, hairdryers, and fresh towels.
The yard has ample space for setting up games. Cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, indoor Shuffleboard, Foosball and multiple board games/cards are included in rental. There is garage parking for 2 cars and driveway parking for 3-4 additional cars. No street parking is allowed. This is a peaceful get-away-from-it-all place to grill out on the deck as you watch the sun set, or relax with a drink and a good book down on the dock (closed in winter) where you may spot a blue heron or hear the evening call of the loon. The dock has a kayak launch pad (bring your own kayaks) and you are welcome to tie your boat at the dock.
Camp Husky is within easy driving distance of multiple bourbon distilleries and breweries, 2 golf courses, 20 minutes to Waterfront Park with the walking bridge and playgrounds, 20 minutes from downtown Louisville's YUM Stadium, the Belle of Louisville, Science Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum, Falls of the Ohio, Kentucky Center For the Arts, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Churchill Downs, the Louisville Zoo and Splash Park, Shelby Trails and Woodfern Riding Center, and the Parklands of Floyds Fork where you can rent canoes or kayaks to ride on the creek or bicycle for miles along a paved bike path or enjoy the spray parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Up for a day trip? Rockin’ River Tours is an hour away, Mammoth Cave National Park and Noah’s Ark Encounter are both an hour and a half away, and zip-lining at spectacular Red River Gorge is two hours away. We are 3 miles from a major grocery store and quite a few restaurants including Blackstone Grill, Gustavo's, Captain's Quarters, Cunningham's and several fast food restaurants. We are 9 miles from a large theater and major shopping centers.
