"Just 50km from Galway and in the countryside, this home was a wonderful base for explorations from Connemara down to Limerick. We could have fared further but for lack of time. The home is quite charming, Brid gave us excellent recommendations for nearby eateries and had stocked the home with information useful to tourists. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is considering a visit while the home is available. "

"We stayed for three nights in this lovely home. The unfortunate part of this stay is that we barely had any hot water while we were there. We had to take cold showers based on the way the heating system worked. We shower in the evening and could get a warm show to save our lives. It made it tough at the end of a long day. Also, for the price And in today’s times, there should be WiFi access even if it is a paid amenity. It becomes difficult to plan your stay with no access to Wi-Fi."

"Not only was the location, perfect for attending evens like Trad on the Prom down on the water, it was only a 15 minute walk into town where Quay street fun lured us to music dancing and laughing. . We loved staying at Niles Lodge! It’s a beautiful historic home that has positive energy. "A fantastic stay made all the better by the lovely Dympna, she was just amazing and professional and went above and beyond - to check in on us and the house. Excellent communication from her pre-check in too and she even messaged to warn us about roadworks in Terryglass. A 5 star service. The house was spotless and well equipped, it’s a very reasonable price for this area."

"The big pros of this place are location and size! A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...

"Staying at this Castle was a highlight of our trip. It has been updated with comforts as much as possible. We had a nice warm stay. This is a true standing castle rich with history. Perfectly located outside galway. Barry was an excellent and resposive host. I think he was just as exciting for us as we were to stay. I omly dinged cleanliness because its an ancient castle. If dust in the corners isn't expected, this is not the place for you. Book It!"

"This place was awesome! Loved the dark and moody vibes. Everyone having their own bathroom was quite lovely. The walkability to the main streets was perfect. Space to park cars was very helpful. The place was awesome for 6 people (definitely could have fit more!) and the host was very quick to respond. Highly recommend!"
