Relax with the whole family at your own private retreat. The park like gated property features an expansive outdoor living space, a fire pit, 3/4 acre stocked pond for swimming, fishing, and more.Inside you'll enjoy the spacious, light filled great room, abundant windows, & the relaxing sound of water from almost every room! A total of four king beds, 6 queen beds, and 4.5 baths means there’s room for everyone. Close to Mohican State Park, Malabar State Park, Snow Trails, & Amish country.

We do not live on site but we are nearby and are available if needed.

The Lodge on 687 is located on 8 gorgeous acres. Your private nature retreat is located within a fenced property with a 3/4 acre stocked pond. While the property is rural it is within minutes of Loudonville, a quaint town with many options such as boutique shopping, restaurants, canoeing, an aerial park, go carts, mini golf, and more! Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm, Snow Trails, and Amish country are within a beautiful and short drive from the Lodge making for unlimited fun day trips.

The drive and all parking areas are cement but the drive is long and does include some incline. During the winter months (December 1st-April 1st), it is advised that all renters should have a vehicle equipped with either four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) to access the property. This requirement is essential for ensuring safe and reliable transportation to and from the rental property, especially during periods of inclement weather such as snow, ice, or other hazardous conditions.

Large rooms, open floor plan, and tons of windows that open onto your own private deck and gardens and pond make this a nature lover's heaven. With over 4,000sf The Lodge features plenty of room for everyone to sleep with four king beds and six queens as well as multiple living spaces inside and out that offer plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. Whether you're fishing in the pond, playing pool in the basement, or playing games by the fire- there's something for everyone!

This is a rural property. We are within easy driving distance from Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm, Snow Trails Ski Lodge, Amish country, and more.

While children and families are welcome at the Lodge on 687 the property is not childproof. There is a natural body of water on the property. It is the responsibility of the supervising adults to ensure children's safety in and around our properties. Children must always be supervised by adults. The pond may be enjoyed by swimming, fishing, or using the small provided boat. Life jackets are recommended. A few lifejackets will be provided for your use while at the Lodge.


Please note: We do not provide firewood. There is a roadside stand that sells firewood just around the corner from the Lodge. Twin Oaks Farm is around the corner and they offer self serve firewood. (Cash only, cash box.) It is located at 915 OH-95, Perrysville, OH 44864 It is self serve.

Comfortable and peaceful get away!
This property is the perfect place for a large group. The home was extremely clean and comfortable to be in. The beds were very comfortable and there were many thoughtful amenities such as the coffee bar, s’mores set up, and lots of entertaining games. The property was exactly as advertised and communication with the host was great! I would absolutely recommend this property!

Perfect spot for a family get-together
Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Lodge. Fishing in the pond and floating on the pond, S’mores toasted over the fire (S’mores supplies provided by the hosts as well as a delicious Peach Pie)- all of these made our stay a time to remember. It was comforting to know that we could contact our hosts with any questions we might have. We would recommend this property to anyone interested in an enjoyable get-together with family or friends.

Peaceful Retreat
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The house is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, well appointed, and the grounds were spectacular. The location is perfect for hiking at Mohican and is private and quiet. Our group particularly loved the large great room and dining room that easily accommodated all 16 of us while also having so many little nooks for individuals to relax, read and reflect.

A Perfect Family Gathering Place
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our fantastic weekend! The house and surrounding areas are beautiful and had everything we needed and more. We took full advantage of the clean, comfy and spacious inside and outside gathering areas and would have loved to stay longer. It was a perfect place for our 80th birthday celebration! This was a perfect location for celebrating our 50th anniversary with our family. The kids fished and swam all day every day. We loved sitting around the fire pit as a group and talking and reminiscing. I especially liked all the quiet places on the property where you can just sit and enjoy nature. Wow! What a gorgeous place. And Jodi and Josh were definitely the best hosts I've ever worked with. Quick responses to all of our questions and needs. We had our family Christmas with our children and grandchildren Everyone agreed we would love rent this house again. The kitchen had everything. The house was big enough that we could all gather or go hide if you needed some quiet. The dining table was a high point because we could all enjoy meals together. The outdoor setting is beautiful. Definitely looking forward to staying there again.

Pre-Wedding Retreat Perfection
We booked this property as a pre-wedding retreat for us and our wedding party and it was the best decision we could have made. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The kitchen had a little gift basket for us which was a very sweet gesture. There were so many places to hang out and so much to do, that even though we were there for 3 full days, we barely felt like we scratched the surface of possibilities. Plus, the beds were extremely comfortable which is not a given. We brought a bunch of our own stuff thinking that we'd need blankets, fire wood, cooking utensils, etc. and we didn't need any of it! The house came well stocked with everything we needed. I even found a little first aid kit when someone cut themselves on scissors helping with a craft and we fixed them right up. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home and property for larger groups
The house and property were gorgeous. It worked really well for our family. The kids enjoyed fishing the pond. The dining room fit 14. The deck and fire pit area were perfect. The great room was lovely. There was plenty of space and everyone seemed to be happy with mattresses. The s’mores supplies were appreciated. Our only negatives could be readily fixed. The coffee bar was great, but there weren’t enough k cups for our group to last the whole trip and we had to get more on Day 2. The house was not stocked with any extra TP and there were no tissue boxes at all, and we ran out of paper towels. Fortunately a few family members brought extra dinner napkins to get us by until we could get to a store. The kitchen was also not as well stocked with cooking utensils and tools. There were only 6 steak knives. No whisk, no potato masher or garlic press, no cake servers, no toothpicks. The blackstone grill was very nice, and enough firewood was supplied. We would stay here again. It was just a little disappointing to have to make due without some of those things given what we paid.

Friends reunion
Every year over the past 20 years my HS and College friends get together. We all agreed that this was one of the best properties we have stayed at. The host was easy to communicate with and was very responsive to our questions. The house is sprawling with enough space for everyone. Everything was set up for us to relax and have fun. The game room was great and the seating was top notch. Every room was clean and comfortable. The host definitely takes pride in their property. We will definitely be back again!! Greg

Awesome property and host!
This beautiful property was absolutely perfect for us, and is well maintained with the host paying attention to detail. From the check-in gifts of smore fixings and other snacks, to the well stocked coffee bar, to including laundry pods for doing laundry, having the light switches labeled, and providing a spare propane tank for the grill, we appreciated those details. The home itself is great. The game room kept the kids of all ages occupied, we caught fish in the pond, used the fire pit and grill, and having a second refrigerator in the garage was a lifesaver with 14 of us there. It was nice to have so many different spaces to hang out since we had many adults who could hang out in the great room upstairs with a view of the pond, or the family room in the basement with the pool table, in the swing on the enclosed front porch, or in the game room/garage, depending on their mood. The seating inside in the dining room fit us all at a beautiful oak table, but outdoor seating on the deck was also perfect since there are two large picnic tables. The leaves were just starting to change and fall on the heavily treed property, which was a great backdrop. With fourteen of us there for a wedding, we always had hot water for all showers, and the water pressure was good for a rural property. Lots to do around there also, with the Mohican State Park and Amish country close by. The hosts were responsive when we had a question and answered almost immediately. We loved this place!

Fantastic Stay
Lodge was perfect location and size for 11 adults meeting up for class reunion. Great attention to detail & every need accounted for. Game room in garage, large gathering room and a dining table where everyone had a place were the highlights. We all said - we can do THIS again! Thanks, JJ for helping us continue to make memories after all our years together.
