ABOUT THE SAND AND THE EVER CHANGING BEACH: In the spring, the tide begins to carry sand in from the ocean and deposit it on the beach. The sand on the beach becomes deeper each week and by late summer can be several feet deep. During the winter, the process is reversed. The tide carries the sand back out to the ocean. At times, there can be no sand on the beach exposing cobble (football sized rocks ordinarily covered by sand) which can be difficult to walk on.

Beautiful Ocean Front
On the Pacific Ocean with parking in Malibu - easy access to a wonder spot - cared well by the owner. It is peaceful - unless the sounds of waves lapping at the deck bothers you! Thank you Don for your hospitality.

Heaven on earth
As a 7 time repeat offender we are always so excited to return to Malibu and our Windows of Glass on the Sand beach house. Every time it is just as fabulous as the time before. Special beachfront oasis
Exactly as pictured, but more magical in person thanks to the smell and sound of the ocean. I loved everything about this property and didn't want to leave. As promised, the local seagull stops by on a daily basis. The only thing worth pointing out (not a negative just something to be aware of) is that the beach out front is rocky, but during low tide you can go out and walk around. I wanted to view it from the balcony anyways, so it was perfect!

Super vacation in Malibu
My wife, daughter and I just spent 7 days at the Walls of Glass in the sand. What a wonderful location! On the beach. Waves lapping close to the house at high tide. Fabulous sunrise and sunset both viewable from inside the house or from the deck. Centrally located in Malibu close to all amenities. The house itself is comfortable and clean with everything necessary. Don was incredibly responsive and immediately on top of the few minor issues we had. All in all it was a great week and we will return on a future holiday

I can't say enough about this rental ! Don (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with ! Very kind and assists with all needs and questions pronto ! The view is amazing ! Dream come true- falling to sleep listening to the ocean waves ! My family and I LOVED this special place ! The unit has everything you need to get settled in quickly ! Perfect, my daughters and I loved it. Don is awesome!
The pictures of the views do not do this place justice. My daughters and I loved it here and will return. Dolphins and seals swam by everyday, and just down the beach were rocks we climbed on in the mornings when the tide was out. Don runs a first class operation and makes everything flawless from check in to check out. We felt at home, and it was even better than anticipated. It is perfect for 4 people, I took my 3 daughters on a daddy daughter trip, and we didn't want to leave. I plan on returning soon with just my wife and I so we can enjoy the sounds of the ocean and the breeze. I highly recommend this house, or any other house Don oversees. You won't be disappointed.

Breathtakingly beautiful!
Imagine seeing dolphins, seals, turtles and even whales ......Everyday!! From the deck!! Even a crazy seagull on the deck watching for handouts at the,same time every day!! The condo had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, tv's were fine. Don was readily available for issues (only had one, it was handled immediately). He even had a welcome booklet with great local information!! If I had to find a down side, I'd just suggest making a strong mental note where it is from both directions. (I got honked at for slowing down to look!# Would stay there again!!

Beautiful Views
We really enjoyed our stay at Walls of Glass on the Sand. The views were beautiful! The beach is private so it was very pleasurable being the only ones on the beach most of the time. The description and pictures of the property were accurate. It was very nice having two full bathrooms when our niece came to stay with us for a couple nights. The property is clean and the owner provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is close to Moonshadows so we were able to walk to the restaurant for a nice dinner one night. For our next stay, we will need to be more cognizant of the tides in order to be able to walk the dogs in the morning and night. It was difficult to walk them along PCH when the tide was high so a couple times we had to put them in the car and drive them to a location more suitable for them to relieve themselves. If you don’t have dogs, the timing of the tides was perfect as low tide occurred during the afternoon hours. The owner is very easy to contact and responds quickly to any concerns.

WAVES WAVES WAVES
This is a great rental apartment for 2 to 4 people. The master bed has you looking out at the ocean and you can fall asleep watching and hearing the waves. The second bedroom is small but well arranged with 2 twins and a good size closet. The master is a very comfortable King with excellent linens and also a very nice size closet. There is parking right in front of the unit for one car. If you have two cars, it will be challenging because the second car would have to be parked across the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which is very, very busy at times. There are two baths and one bathroom is newly updated with a very nice two person shower. The photos accurately represent the unit itself. As the owner states, you should be aware that seasonally, there may not be a sand beach at the bottom of the stairs as depicted in some of the photos. When we were there the sand had been washed out to sea by winter storms and big waves and there was only rocks exposed at the base of the stairs. Just before we were leaving, the sand was being washed back in and we were able at low tide to walk on the beach. The folks in the unit upstairs are repeat customers and said they had never seen it with no beach. Just be aware. The owner is super responsive, nice to work with for any concerns or questions. The TVs in the apartment are very nice and large. The living room furniture is very comfortable, electric recliners, even in the couch. The unit has COUNT "EM - 2 washers and 2 dryers. They are in excellent condition and large capacity. The kitchen is tiny, but very well equipped with everything (except a martini shaker and martini glasses, but I made a wine glass work!) The knives are sharp, nice pots and pans and high quality plates. The place has been well used, but everything works well and suited our needs just fine. And Fred, the resident seagull DOES show up for morning coffee. As well, we saw pods of dolphins swimming by, the occasional seal, and lots and lots of pelicans and other birds. The apartment was positioned well for us to enjoy a couple of beautiful sunsets on the deck. The deck is LOVELY! Plenty of spots to sit in either shade or sun, depending on your preference. There is also a nice supply of beach and lawn chairs as well as a few boogie boards. Since we didn't have beach in front of our place, we borrowed a couple of the chairs and went to Carbon Beach one day. I'd rent again, for SURE!

The place is exactly as advertised. You are right on a beautiful, quiet, private beach. Lots of windows and a balcony right over the sand. I live in Los Angeles and just wanted a place to get away given limited travel options due to Covid. It was the perfect spot! Don was super nice and always there if you need him. I can see returning again and again!!!

Need to Escape from it all? This is your place!
You can never go wrong booking a place that allows you to wake up to the sight, sound and smell of the ocean. This is one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. At low tide you can walk a large stretch of the beach. There are great hiking trails nearby for every skill level. We were lucky to see sea lions, dolphins, crabs, anemones, and lots of birds every day! The owner is extremely responsive and wants to make sure that everything is in good working order for your stay. We will definitely return!

Amazing Stay
The views are even better than the photos if that’s possible. Even with the windows closed at night (it was the perfect amount of chilly for us as Phoenicians) we could still hear the sound of the waves lull us to sleep. We had a amazing week escaping the Phoenix heat and having a change of scenery given the quarantine. We loved it so much that we booked our return trip before even leaving and can’t wait to be back. Thank you, Don for a perfect vacation spot!

Walls of glass on the sand (lower level)- AMAZING!
We rented this amazing property for a short, secluded, and safe vacation away from people during the covid pandemic. We didn't need to leave the beach house, and it really was the most relaxing vacation we have had as a family with active, twin 6 year old boys! The private beach was in a perfect spot, surrounded by sand on both sides during low tide and minimal rocks, we saw a couple sea otters during our stay too. Walls of Glass on the sand truly is a gem of a place and we plan to take advantage of the "repeat offender" discount in the future!
