Definitely disappointing
"Encanto" is located on a quiet street in a location that is close to many attractions and activities for enjoying the L.A. scene. The front of the house is beautifully landscaped, and the interior is quaint in terms of the layout. The backyard is cozy, with a long table and a grill for barbecue. The beds were adequate, and the showers and bathrooms in general were good.
Those were the positives during our stay.
However, there were several other things that we found very disappointing. We found very little toilet paper in the bathrooms, so we had to go out and buy some at the market. There was very little soap in the bathrooms, with a broken dispenser in one of them. The ceiling in the bathroom of the master bedroom was peeling substantially. The toilet seat in that same bathroom didn't fit properly on the toilet and moved around a lot. The chairs in the dining room were very flimsy and unstable. The living room area had a strong musty odor that reflected the old age of the house. One of the pans that we wanted to use for cooking was very dirty, and we had to clean it thoroughly. The grill was dirty when we arrived and the floor area in the backyard was also dirty.
In summary, this place is adequate as a home base to explore L.A., but in our opinion it is very overpriced given the many drawbacks we found there.
