Be aware that there is no beach in front of this property except for a brief period of low tide. Otherwise, the water is right up to the house. Not a beach for taking a walk or spending the day.

April 2024 Family Vacation
During our VRBO stay with 8 people, we found the room clean and the house nicely tidy, offering all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. From kitchen seasonings to extra blankets and towels, everything was provided. Despite the rain and cooler weather, the heater kept us cozy, and we especially enjoyed the sauna in the master bedroom shower room. We did notice some salt water residue on the windows, due to the proximity of the ocean, but it didn't significantly impact our stay. Although there were some minor issues such as, difficulty opening doors due to ocean water damage, these were expected for an older house. As an alumni of Pepperdine, the location, right off Pacific Coast Highway and near the university, added to the convenience and charm of the stay. Additionally, we also checked out the rooftop that had a beautiful view of the ocean with chairs available for enjoying the Malibu sunset. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Malibu.

Noisy home in Malibu
This home did not match the pictures. We had a taped up hole in the ceiling over the master bed and there were a lot of broken window handles, rust, burned out lightbulbs, etc. The pictures make it look very new, bright and shiny but it felt dingy when we were there. It did not look like it had been cleaned well and it looked like someone had just moved out for the weekend. There was old food in the cabinets and a bunch of old junk in the drawers. Plus if you are at all sensitive to noise, this is not the house for you. The waves and the traffic are very very loud. Even with ear plugs in, it was a pretty noisy night for all four of us. We were happy to leave after 3 nights and would not plan to rent this home again.

Beautiful Location, But House Needs Some Care
Nothing compares to watching the waves roll in under your deck in this amazing Malibu location-- this location is unmatched. We noticed some required repairs during our stay that are hopefully being fixed-- most concerning was a broken stair down to the beach which was hazardous (glad we didn't have older or younger guests). More broadly, the house could use an update, but worked out well for this group of adult friends.

Relaxing as always.
This is our family's second time staying at this particular beach house. The location is simply the best! The new concrete steps down to the ocean were a nice surprise. They made it way easier and safer to wander down. We'll definitely be back once we have another little break from the office and school.

Beautiful home on the water
This home was perfect for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. There were plenty of places to sleep and also living space to hang out. The master bedroom and bath are amazing with a private balcony and beautiful views. The convenience of the basically private beach made the trip unforgettable. You have to be strategic in the time you play in the water because of the tide but we were able to get in 6 hours a day of beach time. I saw some reviews saying traffic noise was unbearable however we weren't bothered by the noise of the traffic at all as the ocean sounds over powered most of it. The beds were pretty comfortable with more than enough linens. There were tons of towels and beach towels as well as beach chairs and toys. The washer and dryer also work great. The home is older and has some quirks but you can tell the owners are working on updates. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much and have joyful memories in Malibu. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall deferred maintenance and property was not as advertised.
The property was not up to par and the pictures did not represent the actual condition of the property. I wrote the owner and explained the disappointing condition of the property. The ovens were not working, windows were not operable and rusted, the door handle to the balcony overlooking ocean was so rusted it fell off the door( we had to us a chair to keep it closed, the sauna was not working, the vent over the stovetop was rusted and dirty with paint chips falling onto the stovetop, and some windows that could not be closed had plastic bags stuffed into the gaps. There are a few other items but, I think you get the picture. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience this situation.

Beautiful long weekend
Great location for ocean view, boogie boarding and close to great beaches. Bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy. Be ready to climb stairs within home, ladder to roof (but worth it) and ladder and rocks to ocean from house.

Sean, the host was communicative. I loved that there were subtle niceties like shampoo and conditioner and new loofah‘s in the master bathroom. Every sink has liquid hand soap. Surprisingly so many vacation rentals don’t think of practical elements such as these. The kitchen had as many high-end appliances as you could ever need. There was a complete spice rack and the cupboards were appropriately stocked with essential cooking items. And of course being on the water with waves crashing literally at your feet, what else could you want? Definitely recommend.

Spectacular Views
Great quite peaceful neighborhood. Food & markets close by, no need to go far. The house had everything you need in every room but the best part of the house was the ocean views. Breathe taking! Our family of 8pp enjoyed watching movies in the leaving room very cozy and played uno in the dining table near by with the sound of the ocean. Love how the doors to the balcony open widely. Most enjoyable stay.

Perfect Staycation
Restful 5 night "staycation". AMAZING location - right on the beach, central to both Santa Monica and Malibu (country mart, etc). Walkable beach (when tide is low). 3 decks with panoramic view of ocean. Home is very comfortable, and perfect for 4-6 people. Ocean air has worn the home a bit (as it does with ALL beachfront property), but it was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed - including beach "toys" for kids and adults! We would definitely rent again.

Great location, amazing views!
Sandra and Sean were fabulous. They allowed us to check in a bit early which was super helpful. Sandra was available at all times in case we needed anything. The location was awesome! Super close to the Santa Monica Pier - can see it from the balcony! Amazing views! We saw dolphins right out front both days we were there! The 3 balconies were definitely highly utilized by us! The house it self is a little dated - some windows weren’t functional, kitchen is a little older but fully functional. For us, when traveling, it’s all about location and views and this rental was definitely right on the money! Thank you Sandra and Sean!!

Great Place to Relax
If you're looking for a nice relaxing property on the beach where you can listen to the waves crash and enjoy beautiful sunsets - this is the place for you. Likewise, if you're looking for an ultra modern reno - this might not work for you. The property has ample space for larger groups and you can take a trip back to the 80's in terms of décor. The owners, Sean and Sandra, we're helpful without being intrusive. We had a lovely stay and hope to come back. Thanks Sandra!

I would not recommend staying here. We’ve stayed in dozens of rental properties over the years all over the world and this was our worst experience by far. Pictures of the property make it look far better than what it is. The inside is dingy, worn out and tired. Lots of things broken...the kitchen faucet, dry sauna, lots of the doors and windows (including the main patio door that won’t shut and lock), the TV (house had a full page “troubleshoot” guide for the tv, so owner is aware of issues...waited 2 hours for someone to come out to fix it). The house wasn’t equipped for renters...not enough towels, no trash bags, no dish soap, no body soap, no hair dryer, etc. The upstairs patio was neat, but getting to it was a chore and not safe for old and young guests...you had to pull down the stairs like an attic and enter through a crawl space. Once up on the patio, all of the furniture was broken or too worn out to use. Probably the worst issue was the street noise. I’m a heavy sleeper and still couldn’t fall asleep with the loud noises of the street. The only bedroom where you couldn’t hear it was the master. The windows were old and didn’t seam to seal so that could have been the reason the noise was so awful. The ocean view was amazing, but there’s no beach front by this house. There are many amazing houses in the area. Trust me when I tell you to spend a tad bit more for something livable otherwise you will regret your decision like we did. Never ever ever again! Outstanding property!
Our family had an awesome time staying at this house. The beach right outside the home is very beautiful and pristine. It seemed we had the whole beach to ourselves and rarely saw another person. My son and I went to the bait shop very close by and were able to fish from the shore and caught a few different kinds of fish. The three patios were great. The top floor offered especially incredible views. We were able to see several sea lions and dolphins swim by. And since the home faces south you can watch the sunrise and sunset. The home itself was very clean and slept 8 of us comfortably. It included everything we would want. During our stay we went to both the Malibu and Santa Monica piers, which are close by. We would definitely stay here again.

PERFECT FOR ADULTS
The place looked like the pictures. It was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the ocean right outside the door. Location - Short drive to great restaurants. It was a short drive to things we wanted to see and do. Neighorhood was quiet. Grocery stores were nearby. Perfect for our first date. Clean - Everything was clean. Beds - The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms - The bathrooms were stocked with bath products of various kinds. Lots of towels. Kitchen had everything that was necessary. Jose managed the property and was great. I only spoke to him on the day we checked in and the day we left. I can't even imagine finding a better place than this one.
