The room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities I could wish for. The free DVD's were an unexpected bonus along with access for to a cold beer or wine from a bar any time of night or day on an honour system was very convenient. But I guess the best part was how close it was to Settlement Beach - about a 1 minute stroll to the pristine waters.

great location, near the beach. the kitchen has anything what you need, stove, microwave, fridge, good variety of kitchen utilities. Would be nice to have a cover outside area. On their website they promise free internet, in reality nothing for free, you have to buy and that not cheap one.

Peaceful in Paradise
This was the first time we stayed at Milky Way and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and very helpful with all sorts of things.

My husband and I stayed at the Milky Way Villas for seven nights. The staff are very friendly. Every morning they visit to see if you need anything or require a restaurant booking. Milky Way is adjacent to Settlement Beach and close to where several of the Lord Howe Island walks commence. They are approximately a ten minute walk to other restaurants and shops. Milky Way also have their own restaurant. The villas are set in beautiful tropical gardens and are very quiet. The kitchens are well equipped; beach towels and picnic facilities are supplied. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. Complimentary cereal, bacon, eggs, margarine, bread and milk are also supplied on arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay for family with teenagers
Our family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 teenage kids absolutely loved our stay at Milky Way. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from Settlement Beach. We were in the family villas and they had a lovely private deck overlooking farmland and north facing for some lovely sunshine. Nothing to fault!

The room was large with recent renovations. The welcome hamper was a lovely tough. Not having wifi available in our room was a bit frustrating but ultimately added to a relaxing experience.

Clean self-cooking apartment on Settlement Beach
Milky Way is all you need for the perfect Lord Howe experience. You can eat at a different restaurant each night, or buy fish and cook it on any of their BBQs. Apartment has everything you need including a plunger and a teapot. We spent most of our afternoons and evenings on the dick. It is exceptional close to settlement beach and then you can cycle to anywhere else on the island with in 15 minutes

Christmas in Paradise - Lord Howe Island
Unobtrusive friendly service . Extra surprise on Christmas day with drinks and nibbles and a lovely calendar - very nice unexpected personal touch. Milky Way is conveniently situated , close to beach , easy walk to shopping and restaurant. Dinner at the Golf Club looking west to a spectacular sunset was a beautiful experience.

Great location, quiet and tranquil
Great location, at the end of the road, last accommodation on north end so is quiet. Once you have your bike you are right to go. The lodge is good, it is not luxury but that is not what you need on Lord Howe. It is terrific for heading down to the beach for a snorkel and then back to your room for breakfast.

Great position near beach
this was our 4th visit to lord howe ;it's a place everyone wants to go back to ! You can be as busy as you want to be . Swimming, walking, snorkelling, reading ,riding bikes ( the main form of transport for tourists) . it was our second stay at milky way and we enjoyed it immensely .

best location on the island
Lord Howe Island is a wonderful place to unwind and totally relax, away from cities, traffic, and too many people. Not the place to go to for pubs,clubs, nightlife, retail therapy etc. Just walking (hills) cycling,swimming, and natural beauty .

Great accommodation on Lord Howe Island
First time on Lord Howe Island - Milky Way Villas is a great first up experience, very close to Old Settlement Beach (swim with the turtles) and only 10 minutes walk into the jocularly called "CBD". Generous breakfast and fruit welcome pack including champagne for our special anniversary - staff always popped by every morning to check if we had everything we needed. Like all main accommodation on LHI, Milky Way provided transport to evening restaurant venues - those venues always provided transport back again after the meal. Rooms were no serviced daily but fresh towels were available after three nights. Milky Way Villas does a limited a la carte evening meal Mondays and Fridays, which is very popular. They also provide a limited groceries service, including dairy, liquor supplies (all paid for on an honour system). This is a place you would be happy to go back to - I would certainly happily recommend it to friends.
