Cozy beach house
If you want to have ocean views and beach access this is the place. It is a bit dated but has a well equipped and updated kitchen. Be sure to download your favorite shows as there is no wifi. They did provide an assortment of DVDs, which was an educational experience for our kids.

We love it!
This was our second stay at this house and we look forward to returning again. Being right on the beach is amazing. I would not recommend this house for anyone with significant dog allergies.

Great location for views and hike
We enjoyed the location of this house. It was lovely looking out and then enjoying the sunset. Our hike to Iceberg Point was fantastic. The kitchen was good, but could use a better/bigger coffee maker. Internet sure would be helpful! Beds were comfortable and there is a lot of seating around the house although very dated.

Great place
It’s a great place but could use a few updates. WiFi or at least a smart TV would be nice for a stormy day. Please put a new toilet seat it needs it badly. A bigger coffe maker would be nice too.

Agate Beach House
the location was great, and the house was accurately listed. they are correct in saying cell phone is minimal, 1-2 bars at the most! it is a short walk to Iceberg Point, and sitting on the beach across the street gave beautiful sunsets!

Great location, functional lodging
Clean and adequate. Furnishings are dated and home smells a little musty. Location is great and so is the beach. Kitchen was well equipped with the exception of coffee filters. A front deck would be a wonderful addition to this property.

Older beach house, but clean.
This was a week long work trip, this older beach house has lots of amenities, just no internet or cell service. It needs a full size coffee maker. The house worked great for us and we will rent it again in the future.

In rough shape
Absolutely stunning views and amazing private beach. Location can not be beat! The house however is in pretty rough shape, everything is old and outdated. There was still coffee in the coffee maker from previous guests… Apparently there is a washer and dryer in the basement but the door was locked and no instructions on how to get in there so we couldn’t do any laundry. Overall still enjoyed our stay

Best sunset view
This house is in a great location and has incredible sunset views. When we first pulled up we were a little shocked about the outer condition of the house. When we got inside it was nicer than we thought it would be at first but still could use a lot of TLC. Staying at this house is like staying at your great grandmas house. Very quirky and old school. Kitchen was great. Beds were good. Views were stunning. Definitely needed deep cleaning. But we would stay here again for those views.

Agate Beach House
Steps away from the private beach and a short walk from the most amazing edge-of-the-world park (Iceberg Point), your vacation is sure to be filled with days exploring tide pools and seascapes! When you’re done exploring, this house has everything you need to make a meal and plenty of chairs to relax in. Eat your home cooked meal at the dining table situated in front of the huge window looking out as the sun sets over the sound. There were no restaurants open that we could find (in March), so grab your groceries in Lopez Village on the way down from the ferry landing. This is not the house for you if you are someone who requires updated furniture and a super nice house. It IS the perfect house for you if you love to play in nature and swim in a humongous body of cold water and want to deepen connections with your family. This was our second time here and we plan to return!

Mom in a wheelchair
A barbecue would have been nice. If your going to advertise ADA accessibility a few more features would have been way easier for us. Pull up bars around the toilet area and lots of smaller area rugs are hard to maneuver. We had a lovely time and totally enjoyed your home...just a few challenges for our mom. Thank you so much!!!!

Fantastic location, older but spacious home
Great location on south Lopez island, view of the beach from the front window! Easy access to a nice walk to Iceberg point and more great views. House has three bedrooms and a nice open living/dining area, perfect for our stay with three couples. Kitchen is very well stocked and updated, we had a great time cooking dinner after our outings. Some odd quirks with the bathroom, the shower door doesn't seal well and there are no towel racks anywhere. The water is very hard and the shower head was a little clogged up and drippy. No laundry or dryer on site. There also wasn't any toilet paper when we first arrived, hopefully just an oversight from the cleaning! Our stay was in December, so we did turn the heat on and the baseboards were a little noisy at night, bring earplugs if you're sensitive to that kind of thing. Overall, a charming beach house great for island adventures.

Fantastic location
Close to the super popular iceberg point for hiking along the coast. Private beach that's quiet and enjoyable essentially all to yourself, great for paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. No wifi or cell service for verizon nor at&t (excellent if you have t-mobile. The house is extremely bright, even with shades closed so bring a sleep mask, would be nice if the house installed blackout shades. Many of the shades couldn't either be opened/shut as they were missing the necessary pieces to be able to use them. Kitchen is stocked relatively well, no baking sheets though. Wish it had a BBQ and fire pit available. If you want to watch tv, download some content to your laptop, bring an HDMI and connect to the tv in the home. All in all, Lopez is about spending time outside and this is a great home base (albeit on the southern end of the island so plan drive times accordingly). It's a place your family and pup will enjoy!

Great view and location, barely adequate condition
First, my family had a great time at the island. The location is great, especially if you have a kayak or SUP. I paddled 7 times in 3.5 days and saw lots of marine life and birds. We were also close to Shark Reef and could walk to Iceberg Point. That said, the home itself could have been better for the price. It is mostly clean but the furniture is a bit dusty. They left the trashcans full and trash bags out that the animals got to. There was only one puzzle and checkers for games. Kitchen supplies are very hit or miss: only one kitchen towel, a 10 inch fry pan was their largest, no paper towels. There were no blinds in one of the rooms and we had to hang a blanket with clothes pins. It was clear that the previous renters had to use the clothes pins as well. I will try to find another house in this location in the future but would stay here again as a last resort.

Location, location, location
The setting can't be beat. Amazing sunset viewing (though it'd be nice to have a front deck or patio). Quiet neighborhood with very little local traffic on the road between you and the beach. We can definitely recommend the hike down to Iceberg Point--beautiful and not too challenging, even if you go all the way out to the west end. Lots of little things to nitpick about the house, but no show-stoppers. Check out the other reviews if you're curious. Seemed clean enough on our visit. Definitely fits into the funky/quirky category, and it felt somewhat overpriced for April, even with the lovely location. The shower head could use replacing as it's pretty well clogged with mineral deposits. Also, for a place that says it sleeps 6, we'd recommend a larger coffeemaker than just a 5-cup hotel-room model. We made two pots per day just for the two of us. The kitchen is newer, nice and roomy, and had enough plates and silverware to handle a 20-guest banquet. We did our dishes in the sink so can't vouch for the dishwasher. No Wi-Fi, cable, or satellite, as others have noted, but we were able to get 2 or 3 bars of Verizon service if we sat near the window on the bigger couch. Overall, I guess we'd probably try a different place if we come back to Lopez.

Incredible Sunsets
Great kitchen with nice amenities, dishes etc. Beautiful location on Agate beach where there were breathtaking sunsets. Bedrooms comfy and loved the feather pillows. Still quite rustic, all furnishings are from the 70s and the front window views are amazing. Saw Loons swimming and eating, the large Herons eating and admired beautiful rocks on the shore. Hikes to Iceberg Point were beautiful with more amazing views!

Ocean views
The one-level home was roomy and comfortable. The views and the proximity to Iceberg Point was great! This is a good way to unplug from the world with no Wi-Fi available. Play board games, go for a hike, and a stroll by the water! We saw seals, herons, and birds from the dining room window!

Come visit the grandparents’ old beach house, stay for the spectacular beach!
This home has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower, two dining areas, a living room with basic TV, and a nice galley kitchen. Is the home showing its age and time next to the ocean? Definitely. But it’s well-maintained inside and is a great base for fun days at the beach. Save for furniture, it is sparsely furnished— don’t expect many extra towels, any cleaning products, or any of the basics (like salt and pepper or oil) if you are planning to cook, but there are stores on the island if you need anything you didn’t pack. We spent hours on the beach rockhounding and playing and would love to return on future family trips.
