"Borgo San Pietro is in the charming Tuscan hilltop town of Agnone. We loved being in the historic district and were able to walk everywhere. The hostess, Valentina, was so helpful and always available--she even scheduled a tour in English for us at the Marinelli Bell Foundry. The views from our room were amazing! Be prepared to walk uphill on old Roman streets, some cobblestone. The local residents were all friendly and helpful, especially the Town Hall staff helping us with geneology questions. This is the real Italy!!"

I would definitely stay there again. We have driven most of Italy and staying at I’ll Tiglio Hotel was one of our most special memories. We will miss having our breakfast with Mario"

The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns. "This was the off season, but the staff was attentive and when this place is all in bloom, it will be over the top. Might have to come back in spring or summer. Great venue for weddings. Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary trip to the area. "
