Miserable but not hotel's fault
On the hottest night of the year in an unairconditioned room opposite a nightclub ejecting noisily in the early hours, my wife and I spent a miserable night.
However, in other areas staff couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast room / diner is soulless.
No problems, just some hair left in basin. But otherwise clean.
Pigeons a bit noisy early in the morning, but nothing the hotel can do about that.

Smelly entrance
You have to pay for parking
Hotel entrance smells/stick of urine as homeless and the drunks urinates at the entrance
The picture is deciving, they should have shown the ground floor.
Once you are in the rooms are okay, nice breakfast but average customer service

Hotel Internet and TV policy
I never usually fill these out as when I read them they seem to be populated by people with bizarre rants about small details, but I decided to comment as it seems to me that the Travelodge group seem out of step with other hotel chains.
The staff and the room were fine, but what I did object to was only 30 minutes free wi-fi and then £3 for 24 hours.
Why is it when any high street coffee shop will give you free wi-fi, a £76.00 a night hotel feel the need to charge and why would I want to buy 24 hours at 8.00 pm when I'm checking out in 12 hours.
Then there's the T.V.
I've stayed in independents with a full Sky TV package, but here they don't even give you a full Freeview package. If you were hoping for BBC3 or Film4 forget it.
It seems strange these days for all the reasons I've outlined above that Travelodge have such a backward attitude to entertaining their guests and making their stay more enjoyable.
What it also means is that in future I'll be seeking alternative lodgings.

Room Occupany levels - consideration for others
Terrible experience - inconsiderate individuals who persisted in speaking very loudly on their mobiles - general verbal detritus in the corridor outside my room into early hours.
I was relocated to another floor but mobile was going off next door rest of night
My conclusion - 'hotel' is a converted 1960's Office Block with poor sound insulation
In the morning Staff offered 50% off Voucher ? Will I go to a Travel Lodge - not in the near future unless I have too
