We had a terrific stay in this small space. Though not much bigger than a hotel room, the studio is well arranged with thoughtful and unusually high quality appointments, e.g., given that air-con is rare to find in U.K.residences, having two solid & powerful fans was such a relief once the temperatures and humidity shot upwards. A good hair dryer, new vacuum cleaner, and fresh sheets, pillows, cushions, and towels. Impressive premium lined curtains can make the studio restfully pitch black if needed [great for jet-lag].
Perhaps because one of us is retired, and we have two very active young grandsons, the idea of staying with more than one other adult seemed like a stretch. Indeed, before arriving, we wondered how we would manage. We did well, partly due to the large east facing windows which deliver bright light from sunrise until early afternoon, and a great atmospheric view of London rooftops all the way to the London Eye and the Shard. The colors of everything are coordinated through a neutral white/ivory/light grey to gold palette, heightening a feeling of space, as well as restful for the eyes. Two elevators are most welcome for lugging bags, while the concierge and housekeeper are delightful people, willing to help with any problem. Michael, the host, was perfect.
The studio also benefits from the neighborhood right at the front door - restaurants, pub, cafe, stores seconds away. Transport plentiful.
A wonderful experience all the way around: 'we'll be back.'
