The location of the property is outstanding and the property manager was very responsive and responded in a timely manner. High marks there. The photos of the main living area and the main bedroom were accurate. Photos of the rest of the apartment, not so much. There is an area of mold about 30 inches by 5 inches (at the widest point) on an interior hallway wall. Paint was buckling and some plaster was on the floor. in the hallway and in the kitchen. Our son, who is a housing inspector, said this was an interior water pipe issue which is the responsibility of the building owner and not the property managers. There is mold in the bathroom shower and tub which an application of bleach would rectify. Bathrooms had a few cracked floor tiles. A coat of paint would do wonders for the apartment. A previous renter had laid a hot iron on carpet in the smaller bedroom and scorched the carpet. There were burn marks on a bedside table and in a couple of areas on the flooring. One small table had a cracked and separated top. Knobs were missing on the closet doors The hair dryer, electric tea kettle and TV worked well. We did not use the large appliances in the kitchen. There were no mugs for hot beverages. Overall, the apartment felt tired and in need of a facelift. It did not compare well with properties we have rented on other sites.We expected more based on the price of the rental - at least the absence of mold.
