Excellent base for 8 nights while we visited our daughter nearby. Comfortable flat with everything we needed. We didn’t cook there but could have. Organic grocery store across the street and restaurants nearby. Also lovely and wonderful Broadway Market and Columbia Rd Market (Sundays) very close. Short walk north to Haggerston Overground station or south to Hoxton Station, plus several frequent 24/7 buses right outside.
Wonderful walks along the Regents Canal, with lots of food/coffee/bakeries.
A few things to note:
1) If you’re planning to use the combined washer/dryer (both in one machine) don’t wait til your last day. Even after downloading the manual for this model we never really understood how to use it and our clothes didn’t completely dry. Fortunately there’s a heated towel bar that finished the job on our last night.
2) You need to pick up the physical key from a shop, such as a grocery store, in the KeyNest network. We were told the wrong shop and had to continue walking with our luggage to find the right one. Be sure to look up in advance the hours of your assigned shop and your arrival time. You may need to contact City Relay, the property manager, for special arrangements. Then it takes some practice to use the key to the flat as well as the building entry fob.
3) The flat description currently implies there’s only a bathtub, but there is indeed a shower.
Overall, a very good experience for a longish stay. There are just a few tricks to sort out.
