7 minute walk to closest train station. Rooms are pretty good size, but bathroom is small, especially the shower. Wasn’t able to control temperature in room but luckily the temperature was fine for our stay.

Had a nice stay at the Sonder for a weekend away. Short walk from Gloucester Road tube station which was easy to get into central London for the day. Easy check in on the app meaning no interaction with staff, entrance to the building and hotel room using a room key from my iPhone. Great feature. Beds were two singles put together with king bedding on and I felt like I was falling through the gap occasionally during the night. Shower tray was damaged with scuffs - originally thought it was hairs from a previous guest but on further inspection it was severely damaged by something sharp. Caused no issue to use the shower though. Small amount of tea and coffee in the room, however you could go to the lounge by the entrance and pick up more bits and bobs for your use. Take-away cups also available to make a drink to takeaway with you. Room was clean and no issues to report.

Uncomfortable stay
The room was of standard furnishings and was in a fair condition. However, the room looked completely different and much more basic than any of the images. The bathroom was tiny and barely had enough room to stand in the shower cubicle. Also, despite visiting when it was not particularly hot, the room was boiling, had no air conditioning and the window opened only by about 2 inches. There was a fan provided but this merely blew hot air around. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep and I would not return as a result.

Convenient location 5-10 minutes from the tube and nice walk to adjacent areas. Relatively quiet, upscale surroundings. Neutral, modern furnishings and bathroom consistent with photos. Single twin room was tiny (i.e., not enough space to fully open a large suitcase) and wifi didn't work in my room for most of my stay, but the lobby/lounge area was a useful place to sit and work as needed. Seamless check in and out via the app, and the staff very kindly carried my heavy suitcase inside when they saw me on the sidewalk. Overall, a solid 3* hotel if you value the location and look and are ok with fairly minimal amenities.

Reduced to tears at check-in & nearly passed out of heat exhaustion in sauna-like room. Sadly very much style over substance. Would absolutely NOT recommend this place to stay at any costs.

Okay but lacks in important areas
Hotel is in a nice area. Close to Gloucester Road Station which makes the rest of london very easy to access and walkable for those who like walking. The room was fine and had everything you would need for a short stay BUT the hotel has no AC and refused to provide a fan so on a hot day, this was a shockingly bad stay.

Very clean & tidy hotel, that served us well for a performance at the RAH Our room was small but well equipped with the necessaries - iron, ironing board, hairdryer, fan, toiletries, kettle, coffee machine, tea/coffee A couple of things to note :- - the bed was not comfortable …… unfortunately not a good nights sleep - the plug sockets for the coffee machine & kettle are located underneath the desk, which would usually be perfect. However, the table is screwed to the wall, with no possible access route to feed the plug cables down to reach the sockets! To be able to boil the kettle, it either had to be placed on the floor underneath the desk or on the bedside table. To use the coffee machine was the same or the machine had to be pulled to the front edge of the desk & the cable pulled taut off of the front ledge to reach the socket …… Baffling but maybe an oversight?

A new property, in excellent condition. Stunning location. Clean, comfortable rooms with well-functioning facilities (not to be taken for granted in the UK). Rooms are small but that is to be expected. The staff are courteous and helpful, but there's only so much they can do as most customer service goes through the Sonder App.

It was tiny, nothing like the photo sent to me It was overwhelmingly hot, no facilities. When I eventually got the shower to work it would not turn off! Reception were advised but had no sense of urgency Never again!!

We were here when London had the hottest days in June. The room without air conditioning was a torture, but the staff here did help us get another fan, which helped a bit. The mattress and pillows were good, the location was really convenient. I would just try to avoid this hotel if I were to travel to London again during it’s hot summer.
