Lovely heritage property based in a very convenient location for sightseeing, shopping and heaps of public transportation. Great for short stays Room was small but clean the bed was very comfortable always supplied with heaps of tea and coffee. I’d definitely stay here again

The person who was in reception upon arrival was so kind and accommodating. He was very responsive to all requests and thanks to the location, it was extremely convenient to be able to walk to camden market and other places, if you don’t mind a half hour walk which I don’t, really.

Perfect stay
Honestly can't complain. Great location, friendly staff, everything was simple. Room fully equipped with everything I needed, good bathroom with powerful hot shower. Appreciated the electric fan for the hot summer night. Would recommend.

I booked to stay at this property and paid. The booking was accepted, when I arrived I had to call a number and was told someone would be with me in 5 minutes. We waited, I was then told the price I paid was not right even though it was advertised and paid for all on Expedia. I was told I would have to pay an additional £95, it was late and we were tired. Having already paid a fee, I was left little choice but to pay an extra £95! This is totally unacceptable.

Our little London adventure.
The hotel was dated but service and location were great. One thing I would change would be better windows double glazing would be a huge benefit.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel itself appeared grand with large pictures, mirrors and ornaments however the furniture and bathroom in particular were in need of an upgrade.

It’s a budget hotel in London and you get what you pay for. It’s better than sleeping rough. Very noisy doors slamming all the time. No sound-proofing between floors so could hear the person above getting in and out of bed. Very hot and and the sash windows did have a weight on them so I had to wedge it open. I have stayed in worse. The telly worked. The towels were clean but incredibly stiff / hard. They seemed to provide Molton Brown toiletries which was a nice touch. The shower worked fine.

The property was dusted, construction work while opened, no staff when checking in, had to wait almost 1 hour before someone showed up. The construction guy had to call the staff to show up. The room was dusted. When I tried talking to the front desk about inconvenience, the guy started defending himself and insulting us. So we just left

The reviews on Google kind of scared me. But all in all the stay was good. We didnt have cleaning the first few days, but suddenly they cleaned everyday from the middle of the stay. Kind of old building, but the bed was fine and the bathroom was also fine.

I was really disappointed with our stay. The hotel is entitled Opulence and has 4 stars. The reality is anything but and have no idea how it gained this award. There are far better hotels for the same price which offer better facilities and comfort

Better than expected
I saw the reviews online and thought my stay maybe less than average, the reviews are very unfair. i stayed for one night and it was lovely, clean, friendly staff and the room had everything I needed and more. There is no lift and the hallway is a little worn, but my room was lovely. I will stay again

After reading some of the negative reviews I was concerned but we arrived early and they said if we could wait 30 minutes our room would be ready and it was,everything about this hotel was good,we went to BST in Hyde park and was happy with the short walk back to the hotel.ideally situated for these events,on return the reception staff asked if we had enjoyed the concert and wished us good night,the room was very hot as we were on the 3rd floor but we opened the windows and had a good nights sleep.We walked the short walk back to Baker Street station and travelled back to the midlands,we found this hotel value for money and would use again
